I’m in the library a fair bit and there are days that I still wish we had the old card catalogue systems.
Any of the branches have at most three computer terminals devoted to the catalogue, and if all three are occupied, I have to wait.
I’d only be waiting in the old days if one/any of my fellow catalogue searcher(s) was searching the drawer with the subject, author, or title I was searching for; a rare event (I don’t think it ever happened to me).
Side note: From what I see on a day to day basis with students who come into the library to study (good on them), I don’t think schools are teaching about the use of the Dewey decimal system these days; or the use of an index, the use of footnotes, bibliographies, or even the table of contents. It is a surmise on my part, but with all the page flipping they do to find what they’re looking for in their books instead of just looking it up…..?
The Champs “Tequila” was apparently part of a top 10 playlist segment. The other nine songs are in the spoiler box in order (The Champs were number 10).
You get a bonus with “The Chordettes”.
Sadly, there may be some commercial interference.
You’ve also seen some of them before, but good music is good music.
I stumbled across this1948 anti-communism cartoon (some very glaring omissions even for 1948 / not to mention contradictions within the cartoon, and I’m not talking about the humour of the times which I recognize for what it was).

Very excited. I believe I have found all nine, and within five minutes. As always, I await the final results from the judges. The Russian judge is said to be particularly prickly, however, so any celebrations must be muted.
Lots of practice over the years – first, I suc-err wasn’t good at all at those puzzles. But I don’t get all differences always.
And sometimes, I get lucky.
Hope everyone is having a better morning than me. I’ve been dropping everything I touch this morning. I even abused my coffee all over the counter and floor.
This is an enjoyable walk through the medium (though it does give short shrift to Art Nouveau, which I like a lot). Another place where Art Deco images are common is produce box labels:
