I already know how much he likes water, his water pot (cooking pot) is in the shower.
Cue Arte Johnson: “Verrrryy interesting.” There’s a lot of ??? in that painting, and a lot to like in it. Some of the elements fall into both categories. I love the delineation of sky and horizon and sea.
The train tracks foreground right: Where do they come from, and why are they even there?
Why is the patio umbrella foreground left the only sign of human habitation ?
Why is only one wall – foreground right over the rr tracks – seemingly crumbling into dust? Or is it water?
Why is the (very small) lighthouse placed where it is, rather than on top of the cliffs?

Dogspell – what an inspired choice for a poster.
As for Godspells, I think I prefer the painting.
Oooh… a new revival of “Dogspell”! I love “Dogspell”!
I wasn’t supposed to… being, you know, Jewish and all…
but I can’t claim that I’m observant anyway… and who can help loving “Dogspell”?
I saw it live, in San Francisco, in an early touring company production…. with a great cast of eager young people…
and a couple of years later, I saw the movie, as well.

My first thought on seeing Greg Liotta’s “Godspell” was the dance, Can Can.
Dog by Dog was one of my favs from the soundtrack.
