LINK to an Etsy sale entry (it’s been sold).
The entry actually samples the opening pages (the detail of the artwork is astounding) of the stories in this issue of the Tintin comic as well as advertisements (I had to stumble around a bit to figure out the zooming, but they can be zoomed).
Tintin’s audience must have been upscale. One of the advertisements is for the Cessna Skynight aircraft.

We raised a crow and had it for 16 years before we had to give it away because we had to move – it was happy at the new place and made friends with wild crows there. We still miss our Frechdachs…
Those and grape soda were favourites of mine as a kid.
Out of curiosity I just went looking for Fanta grape (it’s a Coca-Cola brand). Apparently it’s no longer made. 🙁
I was at a big picnic at the coast where the host actually believed that about coolers…
Didn’t turn out to be funny.
We drove 25 miles to discover that he put the hot barbecued chicken and spare ribs into the same cooler as the potato salad and drinks, thinking it would maintain both temperatures.
Further, there were no grills at that park, so we couldn’t reheat the meats.
Some guests were eating warm potato salad and congealed ribs but I really can’t.
what catastrophic event could the Commissioner be talking about? could it be the EWC? i guess we’ll have to wait until the next episode. same Bat time. same Bat channel.
FABULOUS Batbasset animation. I loved them charging the poles and sliding down with waggling ears. Nice nod to the old show with drop barrier as the Batmobile speeds out.

TinTin, along with Asterix, was a key part of my learning to read French. Wah Wah!
These later “TinTin Journals” aren’t original Hervé “TinTin canon”…
so surprising tales do arise…
not that the original TinTin didn’t start out by traveling the world, albeit with a decidedly early 20th century parochial and patronising outlook.
…
They were fun to read, though…
even if I rarely attempted it in French.
…
I never paid attention before… but I see now that one can age out of TinTin… oh no!
It’s too close!

Blue feet!
Still not a Bresse chicken.
looks more like a roasting ….er….roosting chicken
Dinner, Batman.
That toucan’s feet are much brighter blue than the chicken’s… though it varies a little.
Still, if you Google “birds with blue feet”, you mostly find the blue-footed booby… Love that name.
Dang…can’t get the image links I found to work on this tablet.
Maybe later.

Easy to focus on the nicely done birds, and distant highway, as I did at first…. and miss the main event. YIKES!
i did too!
Here be dragons! And a murder of crows.
there’s been entirely too much murder over here lately
as long as they’re ”cozy” murders, it’s okay.
Have you ever seen Hetty Wainthropp, a British detective series from the late 20th century?
She’s played by Patricia Routlege, who previously played Hyacinth Bucket in “Keeping Uo Appearances”, in a totally different role.
I don’t know where you could see them now, but if you ever get a chance, they’re great!
Her young assistant later played one of the hobbit traveling companions of Frodo in “Lord of the Rings.”

minimoss is the name the artist has chosen, and it’s his/her spelling and case I have used.
I’m wondering what the on-off or up-down things on the background buildings are meant to represent.
Signals for airplanes to not go any lower or markings that they are on the right track to the airport – usually…
My, what sharp eyes you have. Saw the dragons and the flying birds, but not the top hats.
I missed that. I did notice the cars though.
As a testament to my perfection, even my blood is A⁺.
O- here. It’s why i donate. 🙂
A priest, a minister and a rabbit walk into a blood bank…
A+ here.
Thank you Happy; you always post fascinating videos.
At first I read this as “Bubarama” which did not play out as expected, but very satisfying anyway.
I’m going to guess it’s got something to do with cats.
And… they’re baaack!
Batbasset and Sparrow!
It’s the Dynamic Doggie Duo, in..um… Episode Three-o.
(I know, I know. That lame wordplay would have worked a lot better if I’d thought of it for Episode Two-O. But I didn’t.
….
Meanwhile… so many surprising details revealed!
Who knew that stately Whine Manor was built right above a Batcave?
I always figured that the heir to the Whine fortune would have an impressive whine cellar…. not a Batmobile, garaged in a subterranean hideout.
…
Well, maybe he has both… it’s a long way down to the Batcave.
There might be stops (on less pressing occasions) at the Bat-Rumpus Room, the Bat-Basement Recreation Room, the Bat-Root (?) Cellar…
and obviously the Bat-Wardobe Room…
All on the way down.
….
Who knew the gate to such a fabulous driveway would be so flimsy?
But I’m sure it’s on purpose…
If you’re not going to stop to open it, you don’t want it to smash your beautiful Batcar, OR be expensive to repair.
BatBasset must have a contractor on BatSpeed dial.
…
I’m also a little surprised that Bruce Whine has a large “B” on his pocket.
Is it for “Bruce”, or is he hinting to visitors about his secret identity?
And I do hope there’s good ventilation in the BatCave, if they’re going to start up that fiery Bat-turbine in such an enclosed space.
Holy Carbon Monoxide, you doggie daredevils!
…
Eager to learn more? So am I!
See you Monday, if not before, for Episode Four!
(OK …Give it up, Susan)
…
(Hey, c’mon… it’s late. I’m burning the midnight Bat-Oil.
Lower your expectations, BatFans).
Susan, you should be a syndicated humor columnist
!!!!!!!!!!
Always makes me laugh!
Gosh, thanks.
Actually, I’ve always wished I had a clue about how to get there.
