I was judging by the size of the comb. But i could be wrong.
I really don’t know if all roasters have tall combs.

What the heck are those green things down at bottom left?

Spoools of green thread? Sushi rolled in green seaweed?

Wait… are they brandishing bayonets?

Robotic Mexican soldiers carrying giant green backpacks, with red and white targets atop their tall hats?

Through it all, Fess Parker stands unperturbed.

….

Meanwhile….

Arch Criminal – I don’t know whether to applaud or groan. Yeah, I think it is worthy of a GROAN.

As P51Strega said the other night… an arch enemy!

(Didn’t want to steal your joke, Strega.

Well, no, I wanted to… but there’s some honor among thieves)

I picked a book of poetry off my shelf that I hadn’t picked up for ages.
I stumbled across this.
Our favourite Wednesday camel is not always as happy as he appears. (I’m putting this up now because I have to be on the move at 06:00 hrs. tomorrow / it’s a fun read / 35 lines / I got as close to the book’s formatting as I could).

THE PLAINT OF THE CAMEL     By: Charles Edward Carryl

     THE PLAINT OF THE CAMEL

Canary-birds feed on sugar and seed,
   Parrots have crackers to crunch;
And, as for the poodles, they tell me the noodles
   Have chickens and cream for their lunch.
     But there  ‘s never a question
     About MY digestion—
   ANYTHING does for me !

Cats, you   ‘re aware, can repose in a chair,
   Chickens can roost upon rails;
Puppies are able to sleep in a stable,
   And oysters can slumber in pails.
     But no one supposes
     A poor Camel dozes—
   ANY PLACE does for me !

Lambs are inclosed where it  ‘s never exposed,
   Coops are constructed for hens;
Kittens are treated to houses well heated,
   And pigs are protected by pens.
     But a Camel comes handy
     Wherever it  ‘s sandy—
   ANYWHERE does for me !

People would laugh if you rode a giraffe,
   Or mounted the back of an ox;
It  ‘s nobody’s habit to ride on a rabbit,
   Or try to bestraddle a fox.
     But as for a Camel, he  ‘s
     Ridden by families—
   ANY LOAD does for me !

A snake is as round as a hole in the ground;
   And weasels are wavy and sleek;
And no alligator could ever be straighter
   Than lizards that live in a creek.
     But a Camel  ‘s all lumpy
     And bumpy and humpy—
   ANY SHAPE does for me !

                                    Charles Edward Carryl.

A mysterious arch fiend! BatBasset and Sparrow have a bumpy trail ahead!,

How can they find him? What would he be like?

Someone with an affinity for arches…. hmmm…. I don’t like to engage in profiling, but there might be certain characteristics to watch out for:

….

Does he eat at McDonald’s?

Wear orthotics?

Date women named Betty? Or Veronica?

Does his favorite sport involve a bow and arrow?

What??

Holy irrelevance, BatBasset...

Who’s writing this list? Sparrow?!

I’d be looking for a back yard stuffed with ancient monuments… that’s what I’d be looking for.

Then again… maybe that’s why they’re the Caped Canines, Crusading Crime-fighters, and I’m but a lowly Comics Commenter.

Hold onto your shoes. The arch supports may come up missing.

Good morning, Cleophanatics.
