My best guess is that the water comes IN through a pipe right in the middle of the stream flowing out…
A sturdy one, the goes to the inside top of the sculpture, or at least to some point above the opening…. and probably clear, so it doesn’t look obvious.
The water splashing down all around it would hide it from view.
….
I just got home… But I’ll be back to the computer in a bit, and I’ll look it up….
But that’s how I’d make it, anyway, if I could make things like that.
Quite so. Such things are very common in the tourist areas out here in the hills, although in standard pluming sizes. Usually attached to regular plumbing, but rusted out, so you will look twice to see the gag.
I remember from my childhood a hardware store disply that had an endless stream of red paint pouring out of a can. I puzzled about how it was done for years…
i want to thank everyone for a most fun birthday party yesterday! i just looked back to see all the cards and letters from this wonderful ‘family’. y’all sure know how to throw a party.

Here’s one that’s about 4 hours from you (call it 12 1/2 from happy); the secret is revealed.

It’s cute now, but give it a few months.
It looks like her eyes have been enhanced.
I know that they haven’t, its just that those eyes are so…
Yeah. I cant find the word. 🙁
I don’t know how you know they haven’t….
I’m not totally convinced.
Happy has seen enough puppy eyes to know!

“STONE FACES”
I like this! Not sure why….
Need me some Sgt. Pepper tonight.
I am so tired lately.

Looks to me like Cleo should join Buckles in the garage tonight.

Brought over from today’s “The Comic Strip…”
Brace yourself.
,.
They look related to that spaniel pup… especially the bottom one.
hahahahaaaaa
I laughed, too! Susan is so funny!
I think she’s laughing at Alexi’s post… sniffle… not mine.
But thank you.
GROAN!!!!
I know I’m tired… but I can’t stop laughing at today’s strip.
My mom used to tell us the same thing, about making faces… including the usual childhood arsenal of physical comebacks….
sticking out your tongue, crossing your eyes, or even rolling them at a sibling’s foolish remark.
…
One of my aunts had a sharp-tongued sense of humor.
If one of us pulled a face, she’d point to her only child, our cousin Mike, and say something like,
“If you keep making that ugly face, you’ll end up looking like Mikey.”
Nice.
I’m presuming this is the Mikey your aunt meant.
There’s a short written history which is why the length.
No… that Mikey is very cute. That would hardly be a warning.
Besides that, those commercials were still years in the future, when I was a child.
…
She meant my cousin Mike.
She was insulting him, to warn us.
It was supposed to be a joke, but he had to learn about sarcasm at a very tender age.

Now I wish I could still do that!

Not with the giant Hawaiian waves ~ The little tame Southern California waves. Wouldn’t matter how tame they are these days.
