It IS a Magritte.

So it should utilise his shades….

Although none of the faces are actually wearing shades.

I don’t know if this helps your morning wake up coffee/tea or if your morning coffee/tea helps this. It’s fun ! !     â€”comment image

The lights are flashing.
The bells are ringing.
The gate is down.
But there ain’t no train coming.

I don’t remember, did i get this one from here?
I was going to post a photo of an Osprey in full stretch just before hitting the water, but it hasn’t migrated from my phone to my laptop yet. I’ll post it later.

Thinking of potential titles:
Alice’s troubles mushroom
Alice in a pickle
The Cheshire cat holds a grudge

Honestly, they’re not very good. I bet you all can do better.

Ray Charles: This reminds me of my dear brother, who brought Blues into the house. And my mother, who loved to sing this song.

I suppose I should side with Clara, just to be fair…

but unfortunately(?), no matter what it shows about the workings of my mind, the conversation between Claude and Cleo makes perfect sense to me.

Metaphorical? Maybe.

But my train of thought is in constant danger of crashing…

It runs off the rails at irregular intervals,

and the last time I saw it, it was headed out of town by bicycle, having completely lost the track.

So funny and so true. My husband and I have conversations like this and we crack ourselves up. I should have written them down.

A      LINK      to the Crème Brulée recipe I posted on this date in 2021. nighthawks used a different picture this year though.

comment image (Dorothea),
here is a demonstration, using a torch to caramelize the sugar which you brought to my attention last year.
