I don’t think subtitles would have done much good.
[Intro] Well, I was humpin’ my bluey on the dusty Oodnadatta road
When along came a semi with a high and canvas-covered load
(Spoken) “If you’re goin’ to Oodnadatta, mate, um, with me you can ride.”
So I climbed in the cabin and I settled down inside
He asked me if I’d seen a road with so much dust and sand
I said “Listen, mate, I’ve travelled ev’ry road in this here land.”
[Chorus]
Cos “I’ve been everywhere, man
I’ve been everywhere, man
‘Cross the deserts bare, man;
I’ve breathed the mountain air, man
Of travel I’ve had my share, man
I’ve been ev’rywhere
Accepting 50 yards as the average distance between the poles, 22,000 poles an hour works out to 625 miles per hour; they were moving.
4 to the 7th power is 16,384.
I won’t say I didn’t miss one, but these are the labels on the photographs in order. Elvis’ talent honed to skill took him far.

That’s about how old I feel sometimes. Baking out in the sun and really enjoying it.
I’ll bet he’d love a lot of scratching…and bacon.
Who wouldn’t?
,
The work of Italian pastry chef Matteo Stucchi.
Where do I order?
What are you going to do with him when he gets there? Snerks!
Hmmm… well, are those 12 foot tall cream puffs, or is he half as tall as a 4 inch cream puff?
Might make a difference.
I always wondered how they made those. Thanks! I wonder no more.
..
Pop and his next oldest brother.
Pop was my grandfather’s 13th child.
Pop was also the seventh son of a seventh son.
But not your grandmother‘s 13th child?
Not being nosy… I was just thinking she did the heavy lifting, so she deserves some credit too!
But then, maybe he was married more than once…. in which case… um… never mind. LOL
Grand pop had two wives. 🙂
Oops… Sorry.
I mean… not sorry he had two wives…
unless it means one died… or that he had two at the same time…
Just sorry I tried to credit one grandma… Or… Um… I’ll be quiet now….
😊
AWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Wonder what the conversation is about.
.
Contrast this….
…with this.
The original popular Australian version from 1962.
It was written by Australian country singer Geoff Mack in 1959.
This could benefit from subtitles!

Johnny cash might have been riding down Wolf Creek Pass with this guy:
Accepting 50 yards as the average distance between the poles, 22,000 poles an hour works out to 625 miles per hour; they were moving.

I do believe there was some exaggeration intended.
I wouldn’t say those were squirrel-sensitive mines, if they’re willing to do what Cleo presumably wants them to do.
A truly squirrel-sensitive mine would realise it was scaring the poor little creatures, and promise not to hurt them…
and then it would shut itself down and refuse to blow anything up…. except maybe balloons, if it knew how to do that.
And maybe it might whistle some comforting squirrel music…. if that’s not too much to ask.
“I’ve Been Everywhere” always makes me think of another boastful country song…
and hearing Johnny Cash, I go straight to the Elvis version.
It’s an old song… there are many other versions… and several titles… usually “I Was Born A Hundred Thousand Years Ago”.
But Elvis called it “I Was Born About Ten Thousand Years Ago”… and rocked it!

oysters
Have I told you yet that I detest oysters as food?
Do you act like that in restaurants, too?
they look rather disgustingly inedible, don’t they?
however, after a going without food for a week or so, these would start to
look pretty good
I’ll haply take your share. 🙂
Yum!
Thank goodness it’s only for squirrels.
Good morning, Cleo phans!
Maybe Cleo should meet the squirrel at high noon….
(((((TGIF HuGz!)))))
She’s great
Yeah she is. I think I’ll post a few more
poor Claude. his one chance to exercise…………
And now he is thankful he has an excuse not to.
