We spent our lives watching too many cartoons.

Especially considering the variety spans several decades.

I doubt “Charlie Chan” would see airplay today in any form.     HERE IS A LINK TO ONE OF THE RADIO SHOWS BROADCAST BY MUTUAL.     The YouTube channel shamelessly promotes itself for far too long, that’s why the link starts when it does.

Did someone say “purplie”? Now we know where Nighthawks got his cry.

Were those dancing Zorbas filmed in Greece? Everyone seems to know the steps.

The YouTube description says it was in Canada:

The Ottawa Greek Community perform a flash mob in the Byward market to promote the 2011 Ottawa Greek Festival.”

You can tell it’s not Greece, it’s raining…

That dance isn’t Greek, it was invented for the movie.

There must be a huge amount of rehearsing needed to make a flash mob seem so spontaneous!

Whoa… $1,200?

Inflation has hit Monopoly!

I suppose it IS hard to bring merchandise to the teeny little stores in a board game.

It doesn’t say “Clevelandopoly”, so i guess this is the traditional Monopoly, which is based on Atlantic City.

Come to think of it, though, I’ve never seen any stores in either game.

How do they eat? And how do they feed Godzilla?

I never knew they were subject to his attacks there… but he must be hungry, if there’s no place to buy mini Godzilla kibble.

And it’s pretty close to New York City, compared to Cleveland.

….

Anyhow, as ever, we have two panels, with differences between them to discover.

Hope this isn’t a spoiler, but I’ll tell you… I stared for ages, hoping one of the differences would be that mini reptilian terror popping up in one panel…

Or maybe Godzilla.

But alas, it was not to be.

I do have, however, another nine to share with you….

So do your best, and when you’re found them, or as many as you can, you can compare with

My Solution:

Be sure to let me know if Godzilla did show up while you were solving it.

I found eight this evening. I will try again tomorrow before I make a comparison.

Clearer eyes today. I found #9, and it was fairly obvious.

There are two I’d class as subtle, but I got all nine.

From yesterday.

Its full name is “The Comic Strip That Has A Finale Every Day,” and it is listed under “C” in GoComics.

It is authored by (if you can call it that)   John “Scully” Scully.
What you see when you click on the U.R.L. has been in existence as a new “daily” strip going back to its official beginning date of Friday, May 01, 2015 (there was what I take to be a test posting on Thursday, January 01, 2015).
I don’t know when Pickled Pete began using it as a joke forum, but I discovered he did when I went back to it out of curiosity to see what was there one day (the first group of commenters always tried to top each other in their interpretations of the strip, then they got bored and left / or at least they’re not commenting anymore).
Just so you know, a measureable number of Pickled Pete’s jokes can be classed as vulgar, and the majority are of such a nature that even though not vulgar, (some I laugh out loud at) I don’t bring over here because there are ladies present.

Here’s the U.R.L.. for today’s strip.

P.S.
Have you decided not to have an official account?

Thanks Alexi. I am always looking for jokes I can tell my sister on our Sunday call. She is a Nun and in her eighties, and a bit addled, so I try to keep it clean and relatively simple. Sometimes I can edit Pickled Pete’s jokes to be workable.

I think I will just start from scratch to establish a new account. I have been lazy.

May I make a contribution?

So the Pope is SUPER early for his flight.
He asks his driver on his way to the airport if he could drive around for a while because they have time to kill and he hasn’t driven a car since becoming the pope.
Naturally, he’s a bit rusty, so he’s driving poorly, when suddenly he sees police lights behind him. He pulls over and when the officer comes up to the window his eyes go wide. He says to the pope “Hold on for a minute,” and goes back to his car to radio the chief.
Cop: “Chief we have a situation. I’ve pulled over an important figure.”
Chief: “How important? A governor or something?”
Cop: “No sir. He’s bigger.”
Chief: “So, what? a celebrity or something?”
Cop: “More important, sir.”
Chief: “A major politician?”
Cop: “No sir, he’s much more important.”
Chief: “WELL WHO IS IT!?”
Cop: “Well actually I’m not sure. But the pope’s his driver.”

Looks properly cooked, if not properly named. It is a filet steak or tenderloin steak. The filet mignon is the skinny end of the filet and is rarely used for steak. Good for stir frying, though.

From “The Sterile Cuckoo”…. An odd movie starring a quirky Liza Minnelli, when she was only 23.
