I don’t know about this guy. Here is a link to what in my opinion is the same painting over and over.
To me none of them have any spirit; skillful rendition, very skillful rendition, but no spirit.      LINK

Well, there IS the spirit lamp holding down the papers.

Lessee, wine for two at eight (PM?). Study date with lots of books and ancient papers? The candle has been burning for a while. Poorly designed candle or it would not have so many drippings.

And I keep going back to that spirit lamp. Not a good companion for those old papers, even if it IS empty.

The statue of Benjamin Franklin in front of the main post office is now at the University of Pennsylvania.
The inscription reads:
VENERATED
FOR BENEVOLENCE
ADMIRED FOR TALENT
ESTEEMED FOR PATRIOTS
BELOVED FOR
PHILANTHROPY

A few minutes later.
The “Record” ceased publication in 1947.

Is she being sent away, with her luggage, to the Home for Wayward Bassets?

I hope not.

I mean, it was obviously an accident, right?

They just don’t make kibble bags like they used to.

Found seven, took a blues break, and came back to find the other two. One of which I find very annoying.

Good evening (?) morning (?) … whatever time you see this, puzzle pals!

Looks like a fair number of you are here early, and even commenting that you already found all nine (yay!)

…. so I guess I’d better post my solution now.

Meanwhile, Claude doesn’t like the look of things.

I don’t think he’s talking about the differences between the panels….

Or even the sloppy red paint.

After all, what can you expect from a basset hound with a paint brush.

I’ll tell you another thing you can’t expect from this basset hound: obedience.

Affection, I think yes. She’s not unaffectionate.

But how can she obey anyone who never sets boundaries or gives direction?

No, he’s uneasy about the direction Cleo’s actions may be taking… But I don’t hear a “NO” or even a “Confound it!”

….

Ok…. When you’re sure you’re ready…

check HERE!

BTW… I don’t think I found any annoying differences.

Maybe I’m forgetting something.

I’ve eaten more than one, but if you told me I’ve had twenty I’d be very surprised.
I don’t recall the last time I ate one, but they still came with aluminum trays.
The spoiler box contains….

….a Smithsonian Magazine article and 6 minute 9 second YouTube video from RECOLLECTION ROAD (you may have to put up with an ad or ads) all about TV dinners.

Got all nine. I think that is two weeks in a row. I’m sure it’s my all-time record.
Cleo is number 0 ~ I hope that isn’t an omen. He needs to put a one in front of that zero.

Whether going up or down on the number line, 0 (zero) is always first.

You can’t have a minus racecar number, or win a minus number of times.

We’re only talking positive integers here.

PerkyCat was joking about Cleo’s racing number possibly indicating her win/loss record, and no negative numbers could possibly be involved.

….

I don’t think she gave any indication that she didn’t know what “zero” means….

And I’m not sure why you think ANYBODY here doesn’t!

BTW, “first” is an elusive concept in math, anyway.

Depending on the intent, you don’t necessarily “start” counting negative numbers at zero.

For instance, the year 706BC was long before 10 BC, and if you’re figuring out the rise in temperatures in a week that started with -5° and ended at 20°, you go in date order.

Yup!
Consider… A three person race.
First one across the finish line, could be considered as “third from last”.
It is all in how you phrase it… Perceptions…
Snerk!

End of third quarter:
Crimson Tide 10   Longhorns 13
Alabama players are taking too many penalties that are just stupid.
Texas has a stadium with a 100,000 capacity and it’s full; the Baltimore Orioles in MLB just wish for that kind of fan support.
As I’m finishing this it is now Longhorns 16.

8 minutes left. Young came through! ! 17 Tide 16 Longhorns

3:55 ball over on downs to Texas at its 25 yard line.

Field goal Longhorns 19 to 17 1:29 left

At 15 seconds Tide in field goal range: made – 20 to 19 Tide 10 seconds left  lead held Tide wins! ! !.
