That’s one bully who will NOT be kicking sand in his face anymore.

Hitting a clay golem is not a wise move.

Not clay… purely a sand sculpture.

By Abe Waterman, from PEI, Canada… (Prince Edward Island?)…. in a contest.

Perhaps hitting a sand golem is no wiser, though.

What I was impressed by… well, one of the things…. is his cutting or molding the surface in flat bits to look like a rustic wood carving.

Looks like he has pressed a block of sand into the crook of the nearest knee, to do some more work…

It looks more fully carved, next to him, below.

Yup……P.E.I. (or PEI in this ungrammatical age) = Prince Edward Island.

I love the eyes. I see the artist’s (large head) interpretation of the art critic (punching).

A link to an article about the photographer, Maarten      VAN DER KAMP      an Amsterdam street photographer.
It is also a sales site for a book of his photographs, including the one nighthawks posted.

So what’s the deal, Nighthawks?

If it’s a parody, based on the identity of the “customer” in front, I don’t recognise him.

The lighting is much warmer, and it looks like openings have been added…

a possible entrance from the hallway on the right… and the curved glass may be missing from the corner window, making a service pass-through…

all of which break the dark isolation of the original. Maybe that’s the point?

….

Do you know who did it, or why?

A search using this image only found the original painting and several obvious parodies, instead.

I’d thought it was a work of art… but these fellows don’t seem to take it very seriously.

Too bad there are no subtitles.

The girls will do that too you. 🙂
Iv’e had plenty of opportunities to sit with the girls in full gab. It’s enlightening, and sometimes a tad bit scary. 😀

The mouse is easy to see.

That those fluffy-tailed cats are supposed to be squirrels… not so much.

Oh well… they’re cute fuzzy creatures.

Especially the one with a big toothy smile, and the one lying back patting his full belly, presumably having eaten one of the apples…

which I had thought were tomatoes till I saw that core.

Mouse among the squirrels…

I’m with Arfside and Susan, the squirrels’ ears look more like cats’ ears.
As Susan said, the mouse is easy to spot.

Is a Beagle a Hound?
If it is i have half a hound to hug?
Both the doggies get hugs anyway!
(Not the cat. She has bad attitude about hugging.)
