…is not wrong. You can get to the edit function with a toolbar from your comment.
Go to the bottom of your comment and hover your pointer over the “Click to Edit” or “Reply” buttons and look to the far right at the same level.
All being well with the site, you’ll see the “Manage Comment” gear ⚙ and (only if the comment in question has replies) the “Hide Replies” upside down vee ∧ symbols.
Unlike the “Click to Edit” link, the “Manage Comment” link does come with the formatting toolbar.
If all else fails me, and believe me I’ve been “failed” many times, I go up and left to the dashboard button between the WordPress symbol and “Need help?” link (to which we mere commenters are not granted access) and click it.
When the dashboard has loaded I click the home symbol, and that has thus far reset everything to the beginning of the “Cleo and Company” site.
Thanks Alexi, for the info about reaching the editing via the cogwheel… I guess that’s what Tigressy meant too. That will be useful in future editing if I need access to formatting.
But as I said to her on yesterday’s comments… when I’m missing that toolbar in my original comment, the other normal things that appear when I’m logged in are simply not there, either.

Ingrid Bergdog. I confess to being among those who don’t find her a great beauty…
Not that she isn’t beautiful… but her looks aren’t so stunning that they’re what make her a leading lady.
No, it’s her acting, and her grace… and hard to measure qualities like her believability and vulnerability.
And Gobark.
Was there ever anyone or anydog as cool as Humphrey Gobark?
He’s proof that most modern “cool” wannabes are barking up the wrong tree…. maybe literally.
Working out, spending a fortune on hair products and clothes… even changing their names trying to get the perfect cool handle.
Did Gobark worry about any of that? What does it look like?
Not handsome, not swaggering… if he’s well built, you’d never know it under the baggy slacks and rumpled jackets… and his name is Humphrey.
Cool is in his attitude. His knowing glances, his intelligence… even his barely concealed kindness. No need to prove anything, or to one-up anybody, because he knows who he is… and he assumes that we do too.
This film is so full of great scenes and great lines it’s like a dictionary of famous quotations all on its own.
This 5-second video conveys so much… it’s one of my favorite lines in an already favorite movie… or any movie.
A plot point and a character study in less than a 10th of a minute!
I fully admit that this is a very cludgy (slang from somewhere in my life) way of addressing your problem and definitely entails a set up and tear down phase each time you use it — I did say cludgy — but for what it’s worth, here it is (it also presumes you’re using Windows 10).
1. Click the “Windows” icon on your task bar and scroll to “Settings” and open it.
2. Find the “Ease of Access” box and open it.
3. Run the slider on “Make text bigger” until you’re satisfied and click on “Apply.”
This is where you’ll probably react to the true meaning of “cludgy;” think Nighthawks and “purplie.”
4. I suggest minimizing the “Settings” panel so it’s easy to go back to normal operation.
On the bright side, this does make the text at “Cleo and Company” bigger.
OMG, I LOVED the SuperConstellation! Back in the late 50s I was at school in the UK and my folk were out in India and I’d fly with parties of other schools kids back and forth half a dozen times a year, stopping at exotic places on the way (Paris, Frankfurt, Geneve, Rome, Cairo, Beirut, Bahrain, Karachi, Bombay, New Dehli, Calcutta…) Loved the noise and seeing the flames coming out of the motors at night!

I rode in one when i was very very young. Pop was stationed to Okinawa, so mom flew with my older brother there and i in one. California to Hawaii to Midway (?) to Okinawa. Via a Navy Constellation.

I got those from GoComics – right-clicked the avatars there, chose “View Image” and copied the locations.
Oh, and I use the touch-pad on my notebook. Fingers only. I just use the mouse-expressions.
