We have a home office in the basement. 0203 on Wednesday morning the lights turned on. A minute later they turn off again. It seems we’ve gained another ghost in this house or Charlie, the ghost from our former house has moved with us.

A flock invaded.my neighborhood, years ago…
Certainly not native here, probably all descended from one escaped bird.
They sat on roofs, and strutted through yards, luckily not mine, but neighbors’, about 75 to 100 yards away…
and screamed like banshees.
Mostly at dawn but sometimes random.

I got some pretty feathers but I didn’t know you have to use a fixative or they just fall apart.

I wonder how they get away with printing 11¢ on it, when I’m sure it sells for several dollars.
Maybe it comes in a plastic wrapper with a big sticker that says $4.95 covering up that little white square.
Looking at all that violence… I wouldn’t want it for eleven cents anyway.
