That wolf in front looks pretty big compared to the woman. I’m guessing it’s due to camera distortion.

It seems to me that some of the tiniest women I’ve known have owned the biggest and/or toughest dogs.

Maybe it’s some sort of subconscious psychological compensation, like huge trucks seem to be for some really short guys.

I’ve known two women who raised pit bulls … If either weighed over 100 pounds I’d be surprised. My tiny neighbor always has had boxers or great Danes.

My barely 5ft tall sister-in-law always had giant dogs, too… At one point an Irish wolfhound, then a succession of Newfoundlands, and one Great Pyrenees. They all weighed at least half again what she did.

But a burly 6 foot something fisherman I knew had a really tiny Chihuahua, born the runt of a litter, that he took everywhere with him.

There is a guy in our neighborhood who is a big, bad motorcycle guy. He has a teeny, tiny dog that he walks on a leash around the neighborhood. Love is love, no matter what size you are.

A neighbor across the street (tiny little-old-lady) has had to Great Danes since I’ve lived here. I love seeing them out together.

A hat and coat are one thing, but lipstick is carrying it a bit too far.

The dog is wearing more lipstick than Angelina…

though the dog is also wearing Angelina’s lips, and her eyes, and I think even a reduced-size copy of her hat…

so I wouldn’t trust that Photoshop has not been heavily involved.

Photoshop was my first thought.
It’s still funny. 🙂

And so, we come to the final duel. Anybody unsure about the outcome?

Oooh… ¡Cleomigos! (Y Cleomigas tambien, por supuesto….)

Yesterday… Perro™ rode!

Today… he didn’t have to, cos he was already there.
After all, he can’t ride every day…

But what a day this one is shaping up to be…

And that shape kinda resembles the letter “P”.

He’s already had a “consultation ” with the mayor…
according to our unseen narrator.

Actually, we saw most of it.

The mayor seemed to think that Perro™ dispenses very good advice.

I tend to believe that he will take it.

….

Time for a another consultation…. with El Comandante Slurez.

(Too bad he’s not a consul…. I really wanted to type “a consultation with el Consul.

Oh well.)

It’s all good… as long as he makes his point, as a consultant…

and I have faith that his sword will do just that.

@ Everybody (NASA U.R.L.)

I’m leaving this as a “raw” U.R.L. (it came up during a search for something else entirely). As I said above it’s a site put together by NASA. It covers the solar system and uses spectacular graphics to go with the succinct articles about what you have decided to find out about.
I haven’t figured out how to properly use it yet, I only found it tonight, and I haven’t found the “Help” menu yet either; there’s one there somewhere, I’m sure.

Just because it’s Wednesday.

Wednesday and Thursday were named after the Norse Gods Odin and Thor… And if you really enjoy facts about Norse Gods then today is your Loki-day!

It’s first cousin to custard.
Don’t forget the whipped cream.

From: ;
Creative Cooking DESSERTS

“Strawberry Cream Pie” Serves 8

1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups milk [whole milk — (3.25% milk fat)]
3 small egg yolks, well beaten
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (real, not artificial)
1 tablespoon firm butter
Pastry for 1-Crust Pie, Baked**
1 1/2 cups strawberries

1.  Blend flour and sugar together in
heavy saucepan. Gradually stir in 1
cup milk until smooth. Add remain-
ing milk; cook over medium; heat,
stirring constantly, until mixture
boils and thickens.
2.  Stir 1/2 cup hot milk mixture into
egg yolks; stir egg yolks into sauce-
pan with remaining milk mixture.
Cook, stirring constantly, for 2
minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in
vanilla and butter until butter melts.
3.   Pour half the heated egg mixture
into baked pie shell. Add straw-
berries; pour remaining egg mixture
on top. Cool before serving.

Notes from me:
In step two, cool the hot milk mixture to lukewarm before stirring into egg yolks so the eggs don’t cook prematurely.
Don’t forget to prick the bottom of the pie crust with a fork before baking to prevent “bubbling.” Bake it on the second rack, the top rack is first, in an oven preheated to 375° F. for about 15 minutes. Keep an eye on it from the 12 minute mark.
If you bake, you’ll know what I mean when I say if it smells done it is.

**PIE CRUST LINK      You’ll just need half the recipe.
