At first glance i thought she had some kind of little lasso to catch it with…

Then I realised it’s the famed New Yorker monocle.

But no top hat?

As Bugs Bunny sings: ♫ I dream of Jeannie, she’s a light brown hare.

How does it process the water to “breathe”?

The quote below comes from      HERE.

…………..” Two arms will be extended to the surface, creating a ventilation shaft. At the same time, O. kaurna will use mucus to stabilize the shape of the burrow. Finally, the octopus will retract its two arms and push out loose sand with its siphon, creating a mucus-lined, ventilated burrow to rest in.”………….

Very cool. Looks like it is trying to get away from those pesky “mosquitoes.”

Or perhaps she likes to see him dashing in his Perro outfit.

AHHHHH! I hate to see the Perro Saga end, but it was a great ending. It could have ended very badly for Los Angeles. Always glad to see the hero get the girl in the end….. or was that the other way around. Thanks, Nighthawks, for the good entertainment.

Shanghaied! And how convenient that this ship just happens to be setting sail so soon after Perro has disabled the evil Slurez.

I hope they live happily ever after. Or at least until Spain realizes it needs to send replacements.

Love the Bangles, funny video.

So… one more time (at least, for this arc) … Perro rides…. awaaay!

Hurrah!

And… um…also … sniffle.

I’m glad the bad guys are defeated, and that Don Doggo gets a well-deserved rest… and the girl (as they say in the movies).

But I’ll miss him.

….

A picture link to the recipe that goes with nighthawks’ posting above.
The link goes directly to the recipe, but if you like food, the rest of the page is fun reading too.

Yay! A happy ending to the tail of Perro!

Good morning Cleo and Perro phans!

Floridian update: Grand daughter with the little ones is staying at an old friend’s home in St Pete that didn’t really get hit by Ian.

Ex and daughter and grand stayed in the house (broken french doors and front porch. House is intact and tight. Generator for power and they’re cooking 2 neighbor freezers full of food and distributing it to the neighbors. Grill stayed put through the storm.

#2 daughter has generator power and a grill. All ok.

Florida power and light are predicting all power (95%) in Charlotte county will be restored by Sunday.

Y’all stay safe. (((((HuGz!)))))

Good to hear the family is okay. Very nice of them to cook the food and distribute it. You do what you can.

There are twelve foods for which October is the “month.”
The comics “Cheap Thrills Cuisine” and “Kitchen Capers” have recipes that will fit within eight of the categories with more than enough recipes to post one every day from today until the end of October.
With —comment image (nighthawks)’ permission I’ll post a recipe a day from one of them.
It is both pork and apple month so….

Next (unpublished) panel:

Maria Voluptuosa: “I think it is far more dashing than Bruce Wayne’s outfit.”
Don Doggo de Basset: “Who?”
Maria Voluptuosa: “Never mind.”
