I went looking for Mad Magazine’s “The Cats Are All Bats”.
I found it ( it’s on page 35 / the whole magazine is there ). LINK TO “THE CATS ARE ALL BATS” Remember people, Mad Magazine was a satirical magazine and sometimes made its points heavily (as in this case).
It was still nice to read it again before it was forced to sell advertisements and had to curtail its views more than somewhat.
I have listened to “O’ Fortuna” three times this morning ! !
As I said the first time you posted it, I had been looking off and on for years for it.
It’s always appealed to me despite being the go to evil-is-here music for Satanic type movies.
Yesterday, the 10th, was Happy³’s birthday… Happy Birthday, Happy³!

StelBel and I usually plan a celebration for it, along with ones for all the birthdays here that we know of and remember, if we can.
We make no promises, because sometimes things might get in the way, like faulty computers or faulty memories… illnesses and absences, or who knows what.

This year, I got thrown for a bit of a loop, because Happy³ announced on Oct 5th that he was leaving the next day, for “seven days”, with no exact day mentioned for his return, or of whether he’d have a way to comment.
It took me a couple of days of not seeing him, with my lightning-swift calculations and instant grasp of situations, to realise that he wouldn’t be here on the 10th.
I didn’t know, and still don’t, whether he’d be checking email.
…
But then he started posting here on his phone… too late, though, to organise a party… and I still had no idea whether he’d actually show up for it.
It isn’t hard, but it does require some advance work, finding pictures, etc… and if I can, I try to send email announcements the day before…
so if you’re not going to be around, or we just don’t see you for quite a while, and you haven’t warned us or made arrangements, honestly, we usually just skip it.

But Happy³ has been a regular here for a long time, so we decided to surprise him after he came back.
I didn’t say anything on his actual birthday, because it never occurred to me that anyone else would remember.
Then, late in the day, somebody did. Oops.

So … now that the cat … er… bunny… is out of the bag…
There’s something else in between… October is a busy month!
But Happy³, we’d like to celebrate your birthday belatedly, on Thursday, October 20th, if you have no objections. If there’s a problem please let me know ASAP.

I have been having such a wonderful time. The Renaissance Fair, NASA, and now two days in a beach house in Galveston. Today is a day of rest. Tomorrow we are going to Moody Gardens. I will be flying home Thursday.
I saw the human version.
It was only so-so in my opinion; I wouldn’t pay to see it again.
The basset universe version would undoubtedly be better.
