Quoting from:
The World Book Encyclopedia Volume 14 P

Library of Congress Catalog Number 63-7006
Page: 770

“The people of Puerto Rico are chiefly of Spanish
descent.  Visitors find them gay, witty, and hospitable.
Puerto Ricans are American citizens and can move to
the U.S. mainland without immigration restrictions.

….The island is the only part of the United States
where Christopher Columbus is believed to have landed.
The island belonged to Spain for over four hundred
years.  Spanish colonizers landed here nearly a hundred
years before the English established their first colony
in Jamestown, Va.  The name Puerto
Rico means Rich Port in Spanish.”

West to East Just south of Florida (because I needed a map even if you don’t) Cuba, Santo Domingo (Haiti / Dominican Republic), Puerto Rico (closer to the Equator than Hawaii).
For our purposes you can fit 2.8 State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations into Puerto Rico.

By the (edit ± an hour later because I forgot to paste it back) the apparent artist, who uses the name EmberRose, which comes from attachment, and is linked to…

HERE

This is apparently a collage made into a gif.
I’ve jumped around looking for other credits, but can’t find any which I’m willing to trust as to either the artist (or artists) or the gif maker’s identity.

West Side Bassets!

Yay!

I love it, Stel!

Look at the two little pairs of dancers… bassets at their very most graceful.

Good job on the lettering, too!

I know it couldn’t be an available font, so you must have had to build it by hand…

probably from those bits and pieces you always order from Titles R Us.. a tricky task, when not all the right shapes come in the kit.

….

Tony and Maria… what a couple… sigh… the sky just falls away.

Street gangs, finger snapping, knives… this wasn’t your parents musical!

And Georgie Chakibble! Ooooh…. stretching his little basset legs to the sky!

Hey, if the Mexican human Antony Quinn can play the quintessential Greek, Zorba…

Actually Greek basset Georgie Chakibble can play the leader of a Puerto Rican basset gang!

And the music. Wow… this wasn’t like any other.

i skipped around like Maria…

Day five of stuffing recipes.
As promised here is the link to the Atco Blue Flame Kitchen stuffing ball recipe again.
I cut the spices in half, because I found the amounts to be too much for my taste when I first made them.
I don’t use the celery greens, just the stalks (ribs); and while either works, I prefer using chicken broth over water. If you freeze any, the spices will gain in strength as well; I’m not kidding.

The attachment is Dennis’ comment from Sunday regarding the trick he learned from “Cooks Illustrated.”
It will definitely work here (I’d use water in the recipe in this case instead of chicken broth), but if you don’t want to buy a dozen wings, I’d suggest putting the stuffing mix into a covered casserole dish with as many prepared wings as you want and bake the stuffing as per the Atco recipe.

I watched “Monday Night Football” on England’s Sky network where Sky has an agreement with ESPN.
Usually it’s the U.S. network directly.
I got the English advertisements, too.
I’m going to try to find two shows online:
“Royal Mob” and “Gangs of London”, both the trailers are intriguing. “The White Lotus”, not so much (it looks like soft porn from the trailer).

Washington Commanders have changed the Eagle’s loss column to 1 (although with a missed face mask penalty against the Commanders, it might have been…).
Commanders  32
Eagles  21

My curiosity got piqued. There is a bit of history and a “Fannie Farmer” recipe from 1896 in this “Bon Appetite” article     HERE.     My Fannie Farmer has a recipe for “Hermits” but it’s got to be a coincidence of names.

P.S.
If you try the recipe I’d say second oven rack (top rack is first) at 350° F. for 8 minutes They’re so thin keep an eye on them from 5 minutes.

Stoning raisins does not mean feeding them drugs.
Now I know the reason for the designation “seedless” raisins.

“The screen achieves …” strikes me as one of the odder promotional phrases. The screen “achieves” nothing. It is inert and inanimate, only reflecting the light that is projected onto it.
