I wondered how he got to so many places with those eggs.

Puzzled by something. Why is he “in luck” when those appear to be tire treads across his face and hand?
As a separate matter, you can’t tell me that the curling smoke from that cig isn’t supposed to look like a female figure in profile.

The work of:   Joseph Christian Leyendecker (1874 โ€“ 1951)
He did covers for “The Saturday Evening Post,” “Colliers” and other magazines.
In other advertising the “Arrow” shirt man was his work, too.
This advertisement is from 1919.
I did look, but did not find what the insignia mean.

“Cattle” in the northeast corner is right on the edge of the Ponderosa Ranch.

When I moved from California 10 years ago, I never realized how much I would miss the palm trees. I would see them every day and always had sago palms in my yard. No palm trees in North Idaho ~ ๐Ÿ˜ฟ. We do have lots of quail here, though. And, of course, I miss the ocean. No ocean in North Idaho either ~ ๐Ÿ˜ฟ.

“Homing” missiles? Sounds like a questionable strategy.

Infrared homing is a passive weapon guidance system
which uses the infrared light emission from a target to
track and follow it seamlessly. Missiles which use
infrared seeking are often referred to as “heat-
seekers” since infrared is radiated strongly by hot
bodies. Wikipedia

I don’t know if this picture of a cherry pie warrants this video or not.
SERIOUS WARNING: if you’re subject to vertigo be sitting down; it’s a very well done rapid collage of shots.

Everybody is so surprised, including Clara herself, that she had an answer to that question.

Well, let me tell you, if there were any ballistic missiles, infra-red-homing or not, surface to anywhere, in my house…

I would sure as &#$@! make certain that I knew where they were!
