Some have panned Curt Russel’s acting skills, and this movie may have been part of the reason. I find his performance to be wonderfully tongue-in-cheek. The character has a rather fuzzy self-image, and at first you feel a little uncomfortable about it. Once you realize that he is a clown and it’s OK to laugh at him, the fun really gets going.
Saw him live last year. It was so much better than the record. Over 75 and the energy was amazing. Part of it was this little girl who was a monster on the drums. When he introduced the band at the end and her last name was “Santana”, my wife and I debated whether she was a daughter or grand daughter. We looked her up when we got home… she is his WIFE. But he didn’t rob the cradle, that amazing, beautiful energetic, wild-woman on the drums was well into her 60s.
I didn’t recognize two, LeVar Burton and David Attenborough.
I went looking, and then decided to post all their proper first names.
Not having owned a television for years, (I still don’t) I was not aware that LeVar Burton hosted “Reading Rainbow”.
Oh my. There is always a femme fatale in these, isn’t there?
I am honored beyond my ability to express.

A great poster, with the handsome Cur Jack Russell leading the credits. I appreciate the nod, and the posthumous credit to Plods. Thanks for all the film excerpts and the music. I guess I’ll have to see the human version one of these days.
So glad to see it again, bringing up all those fond memories of working together!
Ok, some of the memories are fond now… others will grow… uh.. fonder … when the dust settles, and even more so in years to come.
…
What a convoluted movie… lots of Cleveland-themed supernatural stuff, lots of jumping, chasing, clawing, and biting.
It all kept a large cast of dogs at a high level of excitement for weeks…
so you can imagine the chaos on set.
Good thing Rottie was mostly able to control the whole pack.
…
If I weren’t the producer I probably would have needed a program to follow who was biting whom in scene after scene.
Actually, I did need a program… I just called it a cast list and an outline instead.
…
My thanks to all the rest of the gang for the hard work and happy mood on set.
Rottie, as I said, kept all the pups in line, and provided his vision.
The music was great, Livasnaps and PerkyPup… it made a great background for the antics. Dennie is a natural, and our dear friend Plods did some expert camera work.
The original writing was smooth, thanks to Tigressy and Montana Lady, with some polishing by StevieBoy to adapt the scenes to the canine actors.
…
The energy and hi-jinks did make it fun… but a calming down period had to follow every day’s shoot, with lots of treats and belly rubs, even for the dogs.
We were able to bring it in on budget, which meant GerardDog and AlexHound didn’t mind me splurging at PetSmart.
Those dried liver treats and real beef jerky strips don’t grow on trees, you know… but the bonus satisfaction and camaraderie was worth it.
….
Then of course, the silly humans had to try to copy us.
What a joke.
…
Why were they trying to film it in such little china, anyway?
A movie with all that action?
They were bound to smash all those tiny cups and plates to bits.
Even BIG china would have broken…
Why the heck didn’t they film it in big Tupperware instead?
My version of cocoa. I know I put this up back in the Sherpa days, but it’s still good.
HOT, SWEET, COCOA (For two.)
You will need:
A large sauce pan or an 8 cup glass micro-waveable measuring cup, and two 12 fl. oz. beer mugs or other thick large glass.
Ingredients:
2 cups whole milk (3.25% milk fat / And only whole milk; we’re after taste and feeling good.)
1/3 cup sugar in each of your drinking mugs
1/2 teaspoon cocoa or to taste (not cocoa mix) in each of your drinking mugs (I use Fry’s)
Using a spoon thoroughly mix together the dry sugar and cocoa in the mugs. (The sugar separates the cocoa grains so they don’t clump.)
Pour the milk into the saucepan or measuring cup and boil it. (Yes, boil it.)
If you’re using the stove top method, use only medium heat to start, and stir regularly so the milk doesn’t scorch.
When the milk has boiled, (now you see why the containers had to be large) split it evenly between the mugs, stir, and enjoy your cocoa!!
I admit, i have some of that. I also have the powdered kind that you put in warmed milk. Depends on how patient i am at the time. 🙂
And, mini marshmallows for me.
This is real, but I have a question.
Why do they have a camera and sound recording system on when they’re home?
I even think it’s too much as part of a security system.
wow! stel, what a gorgeous poster! thanks for the credit! my high school english teacher always knew that i would go on to be a writer. she even wrote that in my senior yearbook!
another film i’ve never seen…..
the things i learn reading cleo & co.!
Lots of silly fun!

In one respect it reminds me of the comic Skin Horse: I never really know what’s going on. It makes it really a fun movie.
He has always been good at comedy. Starting in the Disney years.
Too cute! I am sure the pediatricians are freaking out.
absolutely adorable!
Apparently taken in 2013.
The follow top caption….

Wow… “Big Trouble in Little Cleveland!”
So glad to see it again, bringing up all those fond memories of working together!

Big Trouble in Big Tupperware? The bassets might go for that……depending on what’s in the tupperware.
i was a tupperware manager for over 10 years. car and all.

Too much trouble. I heat the water, pour in a hot chocolate packet and stir ~ add a little whipped cream on top………..good enough!
I admit, i have some of that. I also have the powdered kind that you put in warmed milk. Depends on how patient i am at the time. 🙂
And, mini marshmallows for me.
Yummy! My mom always made home made cocoa! Memories! ❤️
Nice to see you here. This is a fun comic.
.
The U.R.L. is still active.
Excellent pictures, terrible writing.
Awww what a “sweet” meece!
This is real, but I have a question.

dunno…..but like the folks in the video are all saying,
What Happened?
It happened in Hawaii.

Wow! Had that woman walked a couple more steps………
Just one. It was that close. She said that she didn’t even see it until it was all over.
Apparently yes. I saw that in the news. It went throw a cinderblock wall like nothing before hitting the house. They showed it’s track.
wow! stel, what a gorgeous poster! thanks for the credit! my high school english teacher always knew that i would go on to be a writer. she even wrote that in my senior yearbook!
And we do make a good team!
nice to have our names in lights.
There was always big trouble in Little Cleveland…Little Italy, to be exact! Not so much now, though! ☺️
