I told my bank I needed $10,000 in big bills. This is what they gave me.

All I can find is this is definitely of either Taiwanese, Hong Kong or Beijing origin.

I was going to say that I think I have been on that road, but I haven’t been to those places. The long and winding road!

Never fear, Cleo puzzle pals… the solution is in hand.

Well, it’s in my hand, virtually… But I’m about to put it in yours, so to speak.

Personally, I feel like this puzzle looks scarier than it is… all nine differences are there, and visible.

All you have to do is… well… just, you know… find them.

Then you can compare your choices with the nine I found…

I found seven last night. I found the other two today when I copied them and did a shift of the two to see the changes.

Same goes for cats (like the one above)…
Our late tom-cat Moses often arrived in the middle of the night in the latter state and went right for my mother’s bed.

Call it a cake if you want, but that’s a loaf or, like “banana” a bread.

From: ;
The Canadian Living COOKBOOK
By Carol Ferguson and the food writers of Canadian Living Magazine
Published by Random House of Canada
1265 Aerowood Drive
Mississauga, Ontario Canada
L4W 1B9
ISBN 0-394-22017-X

“KAY SPICER’S LEMONADE LOAF”

Cut thin slices of this nutty bread into strips and serve with tea or coffee. Or spread thin slices with cream cheese for party sandwiches.

1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
1/2 cup chopped pecans or pistachios

• In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter,
sugar and eggs until smooth. In separate bowl,
combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Gradually stir into creamed mixture, alternating
with lemonade concentrate; blend well. Stir in
nuts.
• Spoon into greased and lightly floured 8 ×
4-inch loaf pan. Bake in 350° F oven
for about 1 hour or until golden brown and tester
inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in
pan for about 5 minutes, then turn out onto rack to
cool completely. Makes 1 loaf (24 thin or 16 thick
slices).

Notes from me:
For those who have never baked before:
Substitute frozen orange concentrate for orange loaf.
You can also leave out the nuts.
They don’t absorb liquid, so you’ll just get a slightly smaller loaf.

To me, “loaf” is a shape, not a recipe, though some recipes do bake better as loaves.

Many recipes can be baked as a layer cake or a loaf cake, and you can say just “loaf”, if you like, for a loaf cake or bread.

But “bread” implies less sugar, maybe something for breakfast or tea… Usually a dough with all purpose flour, not a light cake batter.

Banana bread is less sweet than banana cake.

Pound cake, as well, is a certain kind of recipe, richer. with more shortening and eggs, than a regular cake.

Usually but not always baked in a loaf pan, it’s still called pound cake.

You wouldn’t call a vanilla pound cake “vanilla bread.”

“Orange pound cake” would be pound cake with orange juice and/or zest.

Does anyone know the name of the character in the top left?
All my searches come back as “Muttley,” but Muttley is the one in the orange raincoat.
Not even the listing      HERE      has another picture of him.

I think the title of the magazine is wrong. Maybe a very subtle change is called for; how about the ‘The New Yorkie’?

I’d say pretty clever. I never would have thought of that (or been able to do it).
