Guinness says not only is he the oldest living dog, he may be the oldest dog ever, at least the oldest they can verify
The previous oldest dog ever in their records was 29… An Australian cattle dog named Bluey, who IIRC passed away in the 1930s. I’d have to look it up again.
The oldest living dog in their records before registering Bobi was “only” about 23…. and still is, I presume.
…
People in the comments were arguing about having the actual oldest dog, strangely ignoring the fact that they’re insisting their dog is 23 or 24 but Bobi is almost 31.
Guinness only accepts entries that have proof of age.
Bobi was registered with his veterinarian in 1992.
The San Diego Zoo says they travel at 0.16 miles per hour.
Working through the math, it would take only
21.306818181818181818181818181
minutes or
1,278.40909090909090909090909086
seconds to complete the 100 yard dash.
I’m still very sick. I spent most of the day horizontal, and most of the day period in bed. The beasts are confused. Buddy is extreme confused. He doesn’t understand why i just don’t want to play. He’s still enough of a dumb puppy to just not get it.
Very sorry to hear about your whatever-it-is. Since you were tested for Covid, can we at least assume it’s viral?
Take good care of yourself for a change. Tea and chicken soup are always good.
At my dentist’s office, they’re very careful about masks and sanitation.
In the restroom, sitting on top of the toilet tank, there’s an aerosol can with no instructions on it… just a brand name and a product name I’ve never heard of, something like “LemonFresh”.
It also says “Not for retail sale”.
I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of disinfectant.
There’s a hand made sign taped to the wall behind it, that says “Be kind. Please spray after every bathroom use. ”
No indication whether to spray the seat, the bowl, or the air.
…
When I came out I asked the receptionist… one of the dental assistants was standing there too.
They answered at the same time. One said it was air freshener, the other said it was for spraying the seat.
The receptionist said she’d try to remember to find out and tell me next time, but she didn’t and I forgot to ask again.
Are the employees and patients all doing different things with it?
I’ve made several dishes from this pamphlet, they’ve all been tasty.

Heat oil in frying pan. Brown chicken parts. Drain and set aside
While oil is hot, add pork and cook until well seared. Add onion
and garlic. Cook until tender but not brown. Add tomatoes and cook
for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour in rice and cook 5 minutes
more. Add broth and seasonings. Pour into baking pans. Place chicken
parts on top. Cover with a tight lid or foil. Place in a 350 degree oven
and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and add shrimp. Recover
and return to the oven for another 15 minutes. Serves 8. (I parboiled
rice is used, bake 35 minutes before adding the shrimp.)
Notes from me:
As near as I can tell, “unjointed” means the bones are broken at the joints, but still left in the chicken ( I’m open to correction). The cooking times seem a little light to me. Check for doneness at the end of the official times and cook longer if necessary.

Bobi
Thirty!?! That’s Methusaleh territory!
I just read an article about him yesterday!

Took me a few seconds.
Me, too.
me, three.
Even though I know what this really is, that big soap bubble somehow makes me wince.
Same here! The eyes have it! I’m drained now.

But you see, that wouldn’t be funny.
We KNOW it’s exaggerated, and very unrealistic…
But it’s funny. And we’re here for the funny.
Laughed out loud at this!
Me too.

This guy was a real pro as well as a lover of the game. He reinvented himself twice to stay in the game.

For their sakes, just make sure you’re feeding yourself as well as you’re feeding them ! ! !

get well very soon, dear friend!
Hard to choose between the Elvis and Joan Baez songs. But I have to go with Joan because I saw her perform it.
Clara, a few instructions might have helped.
Not just how to use it, but where!
People make assumptions.

My question is, what was Clara using to clean the bathroom before that day? (Claude obviously wasn’t talking part.)
Didn’t they already have a similar brush?
I hope Claude never misused that one when it wasn’t brand new.
Uggghh.
Spanish Paella

Yum! I haven’t made paella in a while, but now that it is warming up, I will try it on the grill soon.
I had to find a version of Joan Baez at Woodstock that works in Canada.
Funny thing, i read someplace (grain of salt here) that the Romans used a sponge on a stick.
I’ve read that too…
There were shared ones(!) at the public toilets, which were usually rows of marble seats built over an aquaduct.
They were soaked in vinegar, and you dipped them in the water flowing below the seats.
i LOVE clara’s new bathroom brush. the color matches all the purplie things in their house!
I wonder if anyone visiting their house would notice that. “Everything matches in their house, even the toilet brush.”
Everything matches in our house. It’s all got dog fur on it.
