Good evening, or morning, as the case may be for you, my Cleo pets and puzzle hounds … Time for our romp through a new puzzle, looking for differences.
Pet-walking in New York City seems to be a different career than elsewhere.
Presumably someone is paying for all these creatures to get their daily, maybe sometimes weekly, bit of air (such as it is, flavored with asphalt, brick, cement, gasoline and so much more) and exercise.
Not sure how much of either the fish is getting, but at least the view is something besides an apartment living room.
I’m not crazy about mice but that one is adorable… He and the lizard get tons of exercise, just keeping up. The tortoise must have a hard time.
….
I get my exercise circling differences. Look at all the ones I found for you!
Wait, though…. You have to do your bit first…
Afteryou have tried to find them yourself… THEN you can
BTW, it should be obvious, but just in case… I accidentally made a red dot and a couple of tinier red marks while I was circling. They don’t mark anything except a bit of non-cooperation from my fingers.
I got all ten for a change. When I got to 9, I was going to complain that I finally get nine, and we have to get 10. Then I found the last one. Persistence pays off!!
You target is 30 seconds to do the one or set that applies in your head.
I’ve come close with some of the “beginner” ones, but nowhere near that with the sets.
I used to buy a couple of bags of them well after Easter, when they were 75% or even 90% off, and since I only eat a few at a time they lasted for months.
Now they’re hard to find and more expensive.
And Brachs, my former usual brand, has switched to production in Mexico, where the flavor is different, not quite as good.
…
Let year I found a small bag of a different brand… a store brand I think… and they had played a trick on me!
They were black… But they weren’t licorice!
Some nasty flavor, possibly intended to be some kind of fruit, maybe berry, but bitter and soapy…. Yecchh!
Thursday ended terribly.
First, i must say, i passed the stress test.
After leaving the hospital i got hit by a vertigo attack. In Portland. My boss and our nurse came and got me. It was a horrible end to what started out as a wonderful day.
On my way in to Portland i stopped in McMinnvill and visited with Jenny for a couple of hours.
Ugh! !
Not good! !
Make sure you’re eating properly (I’m serious).
Here’s the MAYO CLINIC on vertigo.
P.S.
May I ask who Jenny is? 🐇
“The Old Gumbie Cat ” By: T. S. Eliot
I have a Gumbie Cat in mind, her name is Jennyanydots;
Her coat is of the tabby kind, with tiger stripes and leopard spots
. All day she sits upon the stair or on the steps or on the mat;
She sits and sits and sits and sits–and that’s what makes a Gumbie Cat!
But when the day’s hustle and bustle is done,
Then the Gumbie Cat’s work is but hardly begun.
And when all the family’s in bed and asleep,
She tucks up her skirts to the basement to creep.
She is deeply concerned with the ways of the mice–
Their behaviour’s not good and their manners not nice;
So when she has got them lined up on the matting,
She teachs them music, crocheting and tatting.
I have a Gumbie Cat in mind, her name is Jennyanydots;
Her equal would be hard to find, she likes the warm and sunny spots.
All day she sits beside the hearth or on the bed or on my hat:
She sits and sits and sits and sits–and that’s what makes a Gumbie Cat!
But when the day’s hustle and bustle is done,
Then the Gumbie Cat’s work is but hardly begun.
As she finds that the mice will not ever keep quiet,
She is sure it is due to irregular diet;
And believing that nothing is done without trying,
She sets right to work with her baking and frying.
She makes them a mouse–cake of bread and dried peas,
And a beautiful fry of lean bacon and cheese.
I have a Gumbie Cat in mind, her name is Jennyanydots;
The curtain-cord she likes to wind, and tie it into sailor-knots.
She sits upon the window-sill, or anything that’s smooth and flat:
She sits and sits and sits and sits–and that’s what makes a Gumbie Cat!
But when the day’s hustle and bustle is done,
Then the Gumbie Cat’s work is but hardly begun.
She thinks that the cockroaches just need employment
To prevent them from idle and wanton destroyment.
So she’s formed, from that lot of disorderly louts,
A troop of well-disciplined helpful boy-scouts,
With a purpose in life and a good deed to do–
And she’s even created a Beetles’ Tattoo.
So for Old Gumbie Cats let us now give three cheers– On whom well-ordered households depend, it appears.
Jenny is a friend. Her husband was a client. I guess that he still is because i help Jenny with things that she can’t do. Like get things off of the top shelf.
But you can save a little bottle from something and use it to stash a few tabs of each in the glove compartment.
I do that too.
If I feel like they got too hot too often, I swap them out for fresher ones, which is why I don’t just carry a whole bottle in the car.

Linda Ronstadt really had a special voice. I loved it when she sang Blue Bayou on the Muppet Show, with the frogs croaking in the background and Miss Piggie seething in the foreground.
.
.
If you are small, you don’t want that gaze directed at you.
beauty in it’s finest!
I first read it as “beauty in it’s fiercest!”. Both work.
“its”
I will continue to say what’s right. 😜
,,
,.
Please…let that be fake!!
Same here!
Oh, I wish you hadn’t done that.
I just googled “largest centipede”.
They ARE real!!
Someone is brave enough to offer an arm.
They love the filling of poppy-cakes.
1st hand experience talking?
uck!
You really DON’T have to, you know.
Honest.
Cool!
Aw, cuddling with a cactus, how cute!
It’s almost like another nearsighted crush.
BTW I’m not sure what that plant is called, but if it’s what I think, a neighbor has one.
It looks just like the kind that produces prickly pear, or “tuna”, but it doesn’t, and it has no spines, so the kitty isn’t as crazy as s/he looks.
It’s a Prickly Pear cactus.
they are quite pretty when they are in bloom!
A cat snuggling among the cactus. Might be comfortable ~ I will never know!
I’ve found all ten.
That lady has some muscular legs! I’ve got 9 so far, I’ll look again tomorrow.
And I am in love with Linda Ronstadt.
ditto for steve mc queen! sigh!!!
Not me!
I couldn’t even understand the quote about Ben Affleck vs. Steve McQueen.
I also don’t know what the song has to do with him.
No interest in tough guys, I guess.
You’ve got 9 legs?!?
Working on being a centipede.

Aaah, thanks.
I didn’t want to steal them for myself, of course, but it’s ok if you do. 🙂
i got 7 this morning. yay.
awwww! i got the stars, too.
I got all ten for a change. When I got to 9, I was going to complain that I finally get nine, and we have to get 10. Then I found the last one. Persistence pays off!!
Psyched! Got ’em!
10!
I forgot to mention earlier (it must have been the centipede) that I found all ten.
Oh right.
Alexi gets likes and stars.
Mr_Sherman gets likes and stars.
……
Phew!

I’ve come close with some of the “beginner” ones, but nowhere near that with the sets.
I bought some half price Easter jelly beans. I’m good for today.
Here’s how they’re made. 😎 🙂 😋
I pretty much only like black ones.
I used to buy a couple of bags of them well after Easter, when they were 75% or even 90% off, and since I only eat a few at a time they lasted for months.

I’m with you on black (licorice) jelly beans. My favorite! Then the spice ones – clove, cinnamon, etc. Least – the fruits.
i give all the black ones to MMM.
Anything by Linda is good.

i was wondering the same…
Jenny is a friend. Her husband was a client. I guess that he still is because i help Jenny with things that she can’t do. Like get things off of the top shelf.
Hope you are feeling better today. Glad you got to see Jenny before the attack. Take care!
Much. It’s a one day thing for some reason.
Feel better…
i hope you get well soon!
Bummer, dude. Take care of yourself first. You know the drill; eat right, stay away from tobacco, get your rest, avoid cheap bars and loose women, …
Sorry that happened, Happy³.
Do you carry Meclizine?
….
I get vertigo attacks, but a lot less than i used to, which was a couple of times a year.
I’ve had it so bad doctors told me to go to ER.
But I realised that their main treatment for me was to give me Meclizine, plus a nausea med, and sometimes a fluid IV.
I buy the generic Meclizine at Costco, where it’s incredibly cheap.
Now I carry a few tablets just in case, and keep them near me at home.
It hasn’t happened in ages, but I can take it at the first sign, and lie down for a little while, and it’s gone!
…
To those who don’t know, vertigo isn’t an illness that sticks around… It attacks you and then goes away, but lurks waiting to attack again.
It can feel horrible.
Yup. I forgot my vertigo and nausea pills. You would have thought that i’d remember by now.
Women have the advantage of carrying a purse.
But you can save a little bottle from something and use it to stash a few tabs of each in the glove compartment.
I do that too.
If I feel like they got too hot too often, I swap them out for fresher ones, which is why I don’t just carry a whole bottle in the car.

i love the muppet show. we’re working thru for the third time.
