Sorry. Not me. All I saw was a privileged brat. I can respect what the cartoonists were attempting, but it didn’t work with me.

Really?

I remember him being rather sweet natured, though clumsy and awkward…

Breaking things, and being bullied for it by the regular size ducklings.

Then he does something good and they like him… till next time.

Beautiful… But it looks difficult to cut out.

Then you fold the tabs and glue everything in place… so it seems a bit static to play with.

But a lot of old toys are like that… maybe the point is to make a model, not to have a plaything.

Possibly more like a stage, or backdrop, to play with other toys in front of.

Just want you to know that you are VERY MUCH missed at GoComic’s Ten Cats!

Hope you are doing well and that we see you there again some day soon!

What a cool toy! That would be fun to put together and charming displayed on a shelf. And so different from a dollhouse!

My dentist is part of Dental Depot (DFW Metroplex, Texas)—their offices, waiting room and treatment rooms are decked out with vintage train collectibles (posters, calendars, uniforms, hats, etc.). They even have different O-gauge model trains run through the waiting area and patient rooms (tracks are up high at the ceiling and there are cutouts to allow the trains to go to numerous rooms). I haven’t seen anything like this displayed there.

If you like to assemble model kits, or tableaus, check out https://www.robotimeonline.com/. The balsa wood kits snap together; Hubby put together one of the dirigible kits and thoroughly enjoyed himself. My SIL has given a number of kits to her 30-something nephew and says he loves doing them. My niece recently put together one of the room kits (you do use glue with those); it even has lights!

You’ve heard of Mock-Turtle?
Mock-BUNNY!

Not a bunny, sillies… It’s a squirrel!

Looks like either a European red squirrel, or a kind of squirrel from northern Mexico, but I’ve never seen either with so much white fur.

I don’t know a lot about them and it’s way past my bedtime.

Unlike US red squirrels, the ones in Europe and the UK have long ear tufts, but are mostly red.

They’re getting beat up by encroaching North American grey squirrels. I saw a documentary about them.

….

The tufted squirrels from Mexico (and I think Arizona) are mostly grey…. I think I’ve seen red tufts but I can’t remember.

What I do remember is people walking them on leashes in Guadalajara, and offering to sell them as pets.

They’re not totally suitable for leashing, as you can imagine.

As the human walks down the street, the poor squirrel runs up and down along walls, and over cars, and tries to dart into doorways.

At some time that’s not 5am I’ll try to look them up, if nobody else does.
