I loved Pogo!
Some of the expressions I use, and probably some of my worldview, come from Pogo and his friends.
I was very sad when it ended.

Mr. Turkey has found a fine lady, he thinks.
He likes her slim figure, and her magnificent tail, which for some reason reminds him of his Aunt Turkefina.
He also loves the fact that she’s more quiet than the other turkey hens.

The mouse admires his lady’s gentle nature, her work ethic, even though it keeps her at her desk all day…. and her magnificent tail.
