There were several reasons I knew this was UK, and from the looks of it, a Northern town. The only thing that looks “Wrong” to modern eyes is the uniform on the postman, but as this photo looks to have been taken late fifties/early sixties, then it would be right as that would have been the uniform of the time.
I understand the confusion NH, if it wasn’t for the names of the shops and the English on the posters, then I would have thought somewhere in Europe judging by the hat. Knowing the period of the photo helps too.
Funny thing, i don’t suppose you remember me mentioning the fact that i’m having trouble with my space bar?
I typed mightnot and my autocorrect came up with mightn’t.
Lots of them could be cats, but I do see one on the left that is more cat like than others. But that same face appears in at least two other locations.
.
I didn’t do it! I’ve been here all day.
Ask the cat!
Garbage on the kitchen floor? What makes you think I know anything about it?
NOSE!
..
Good nesting spot. Snoopy even drops in from time to time.
,.
I’d rather have a Squirt®.
‘Drinka Pinta Milka Day’ was a slogan I remember from back in the 1970’s here in the UK.
I looked it up last night but never posted…
British Milk Board slogan, 1958 through the late 70s.
Designed to counter a drop in milk sales when prices rose, because the government stopped subsidizing producers.
….
The article says it led to people calling a glass of milk a “pinta”, similar to the use of a cuppa, for tea.
I’ve never heard anyone say “a pinta”, though. Do they?
I was hoping you would research that.
I just liked the picture and guessed it was some place in Italy

I THINK so…..not sure
..,
Found a mouse.
…well, it mightn’t be a mouse…
But i found the kitty! 😀
Funny thing, i don’t suppose you remember me mentioning the fact that i’m having trouble with my space bar?
I typed mightnot and my autocorrect came up with mightn’t.
Me too. Directly beneath my right hand.
😀
Why would I want to, when I’ve got all these dogs to choose from?
Lots of them could be cats, but I do see one on the left that is more cat like than others. But that same face appears in at least two other locations.
Found four copies of the same cat, and a mouse, in amongst the doggies (Or possibly not).
I found two cats. What do i get for a prize?
/s.
I found a third that is most likely the “real” cat.
your prize!
just send a self-addressed postage paid envelope to Cleo’n’Company prize central!
OK, I’m going to post what I found as a Spoiler™
What I thought was a mouse, is, in close up, a doggie with floppy ears, and the four “Cats” are doggies as well.
that’s the only one I found
Yup!
Is it me?
I don’t see anything marked in your picture, only the original puzzle.
Yet people are commenting on your choices, as though they can see them.
Huh?.
Anyway I see four cats, and they don’t look like dogs at all.
But not one looks like “the” cat.
Oops never mind I see it.
But the other four look just as much like cats to me!
Red ‘circle’ bottom right, third row up. I should have used a different colour to mark it.
Thanks. Yeah, I’d found it by then.
Funny I can find tiny differences in the puzzles but at first I couldn’t see a fat red circle 😁
found it, in a second!
oops! i goofed! again.
but more importantly, did you find a nose?
just a few. too many to count.
,,.
This looks like a freeze frame from an Indiana Jones flick.
Indiana Bones*
ah, you must have missed our Indiana Bones animated adventure.
We’ll be rerunning it before the year is up
Will you fix the typo?
😉
NOSE!!
Love the Eagles!
(Her tail should be white.)
More! 🙂
Another lead role Cleo has missed out on! Maybe she’ll get the lead on the sequel, though it might not be her sort of role.
Cleo would have literally killed it.
She does appear to have access to the required weaponry to practice with!
Is it trying to get away from the dog star?
chocolate chip cookies
I fell asleep last night but I had to come back today for the cookies.
yay!! another ‘nearsighted lover’ set! thanks, NH!
I’ve seen WWII fighter planes with pin up girls painted on them, for luck and motivation.
I didn’t realize the postal service did the same for eagles… But eagles don’t know pictures from reality, since AFAIK they don’t paint.
This guy is in love with one of the sexy eagle pin-ups.
…
As for the camel, how can she resist the suave Joe Camel, star of package and screen?
I HOPE she can resist talking up his nasty smoking habit.
