Someone needs to back up a few feet.

Or yards.

Or even go out in the yard.

Not naming any names, of course.

But there’d better not be any dog-related marks or damage to my casserole.

Not even dog breath.

I don’t doubt that for a minute!

I’m pretty sure I just posted that question mark too quickly after my previous comment.

If they ever get touchy about too many comments, I’m in deep doo-doo.

Would have loved to have it for a houseboat, instead of my 15 foot wooden shack on a leaky WWII lifeboat hull.

Gosh no.

Roughly 1974-81.

I still have good friends from there, most of us on dry land by now.

I still live in a small let’s say “unfancy” place, but not that small or quite so… um… countercultural.

No regrets.

This time, the eyes and cheekbones gave her away.
The hair could belong to someone completely different…

Funny, I thought I recognized the face, but I couldn’t quite place it at first.

Then the correct name came to my mind, along with one other guess, but i decided against either because of her hair.

Call it a miss.

Now I wonder whether that was a perm or nowadays her hair is straightened.

Plus she may have had her nose thinned, not that she needed it in the least.

The dog is waiting for the walk/don’t walk colour signals to change to green. The person walked across with it red, the dog waits until it turns green before crossing.

If you look at the traffic lights, you can see the pedestrian lights, to the left of the main lights change from red to green before the dog moves. The person who added the red circle has it change to green as the pedestrian lights change to green.

Good doggie!

Dogs do as they’re trained.

Humans try to sneak in bits of their own (sometimes inadequate) judgement.

Thank you !
With that prompt, I finally caught on that I was looking at the wrong light.
The fixed camera angle caused me to ignore the one on the left.

I missed it too for a while.

In fact, the more obvious light, the one facing us, is red the whole time, so I couldn’t see a problem with either of them crossing the street…

till I finally noticed that little glow on the left that MCTS points out.

There are some strange creatures on this planet of ours.

The quote below comes from     HERE.

5. The largest Dumbo octopus ever recorded was 5 feet 10 inches (1.8 m) long and weighed 13 pounds (5.9 kg), but most species are an average size of 7.9 to 12 inches (20-30 cm) long.2

I don’t have a lot to say but owl try…

The first owl likes the strength and authority she sees in her new friend.

He protects a stretch of territory for his human friends.

And if he sees an invader, his eyes literally glow, lighting up the night… and her heart.

The second owl thinks his new girlfriend is very sweet.

She also has a delicious scent.
(He doesn’t know it might be a Red Delicious scent.)

I hope he can resist giving her a little peck on the cheek, unless he means it when he says he could just eat her up.

I just learned something today.
The quote below comes from the Wikipedia article titled “Cocoa butter.”

Cocoa butter, also called theobroma oil, is a pale-yellow, edible fat extracted from the cocoa bean (Theobroma cacao). It is used to make chocolate, as well as some ointments, toiletries, and pharmaceuticals.[2] Cocoa butter has a cocoa flavor and aroma. Its melting point is slightly below human body temperature. It is an essential major ingredient of chocolate and related confectionary products.

Yes!

And some, especially the cheaper ones, contain only a legal minimum amount of cocoa butter, the original component of white chocolate, and also include other vegetable oils…

In Canada, and formerly in the US, it can’t be called “chocolate” if there’s any other oil in it.

In fact, in the early 1990s, I remember that you couldn’t label anything “chocolate” without cocoa solids, at least in California, maybe the whole US, so all chocolate was brown .

In the chocolate shop, our white pieces were labeled “white satin”.

At some point they changed that law, because you can buy “white chocolate” here now, which in the US can contain a percentage of other vegetable oils, but not in Canada.

And if you look closely at those cheap white Easter bunnies, or “melts” for molding and coating home made candy, some will say “white confectionary” or a trade name, and contain zero cacao in any form.

Ick.

In the “I’m a Believer” video I recognized only nine of the old time starring women of their respective television shows (and I couldn’t even name all the shows), and could only put names to four of them.
