I’m going to make a stab at it before looking at the “after” image. Then I’ll put it in a spoiler box, and we’ll see if I’m right. I promise to let you know if I’m wrong.

SPOILER
Morgan Freeman

Yes… I recognised the young picture, too… Looks like his high school photo, maybe?

I’ve already checked by looking at the more recent one.

That’s the guy.

Hard to remember him ever looking (or being) young in a movie, to compare with his teenage face.

But then I remembered him, maybe not exactly youthful …

but…
before he was gray, when he starred in the PBS children’s show,

“The Electric Company”.

I’m still 100% for young pictures (100% clueless), but I’m two for two on the last two star pictures. That’s two total since you guys began doing these ☺.

That show might still make it to air today, but the car would probably not be permitted to be called “General Lee”.
P.C. idiots are so stupid that when they look it up in the dictionary they think “I can’t be, I always stand up straight.”.

Looks like my Kiki, but if Mr. Spock held Kiki like that we’d be seeing some of his green blood.

Pretty sure I have seen this previously. I don’t know if it was here, sherpa, or some third website lost in the mists of time.

From yesterday.
The picture below is the unsweetened chocolate I have used for years (my mother always used it, so I do too).
“Baker’s” is part of the Heinz-Kraft group.
I’m so used to the recipe, that I forgot that “squares” are now rectangles (at least in Canada) of chocolate and are 1/4 ounce each.
Two squares of chocolate used to be the full two ounces needed to make the brownies.
To carry on….
The recipe is quite literally one pot, one 8 inch square baking tin. I first melt the chocolate and butter together in the pot on very low heat as did my mother (remember that unless you’re in Death Valley’s Badwater Basin… / 282 feet below sea level /… on a cold day water pretty much always boils at under 212º F) and then add the sugar, salt, eggs, vanilla, and flour (only if we’re being picky are the raisins, and/or walnuts, and/or coconut flakes) optional.
I don’t like walnuts all that much so I use only raisins and coconut flakes. It is important to remember to cool the chocolate/butter mixture to lukewarm.
When the mixture is lukewarm stir in everything else as it appears with a spatula (Mother forgot about the salt, but I do not).
When everything is mixed, scrape everything into the prepared baking tin.
Please let me know if you have seen this, thanks (and if anything is unclear let me know).

Today’s Songs:
‘Layla,’ ‘Laughing,’ ‘Let’s Twist Again,’ and ‘Life in the Bloodstream,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe ‘Asparagus Frittata (low-carb).’
The real version when he was with ‘Derek and the Dominos’.
The first of two ‘Guess Who’ songs today (number 1 in Canada, number 10 in the U.S.).
Not Chubby Checker, but Adriana Vlad; and she does it well (her saxophonist is really good / her drummer is good too, but every video I’ve seen, I always wonder what he’s ingesting).
My favourite ‘Guess Who’ song.
As a bonus today I’m adding ‘Rinse the Blood Off My Toga’ by Wayne and Shuster (who introduce ‘Laughing’), two of Canada’s best comics; they were a favourite of Ed Sullivan, and his show is where I first heard this while we were living in Norwalk, Connecticut. Believe me, it’s fun (‘Julie, don’t go, I told him…)
As a side note, going East on the Trans Canada Highway turn right at the Brandon exit and about half a kilometre later you’re heading down the hill to the Assiniboine River (it’s a pretty little town).

Oh, Yeah… Layla !!!
Featured in a fantastic Canadian movie “Slipstream (1973).
I’ve been looking for a copy of this movie for decades, since I first saw it some 40+ years ago. Still lookin’… And not only for the song, albeit, it was a very interesting scene :: the plot line is/was my main draw. From Wikipedia:
