Thanksgiving view.

If you look at it just right, it looks like a turkey.

One place i will never have the chance to be. Not in my condition.
I’m not even sure that i could get in a canoe without dumping it any more.

Adorable … As long as it’s “Must be sure this little creature is always safe.”.

….and not “Wonder if this little creature might be lunch.”

Today’s Songs:
1. ‘Where Evil Grows,’ 2. ‘ While My Guitar Gently Weeps,’ 3. ‘ Whip It,’nd 4. ‘White Hot,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe 5. ‘Carrot Rutabaga Bisque (low fat).’
1. I never thought of this song as other than a song about evil. It turns out it was about the pulp mills of British Columbia and their collective polluting of the coastal waters.
2. I just learned that Eric Clapton played with the Beatles in the recording session at George Harrison’s request. After it was recorded, Clapton didn’t think it sounded ‘Beatley’ enough so the recording was enhanced by the use of an Automatic Double Tracking machine
3. There’s a book excerpt about ‘Devo’ and this song below; interesting reading.
4. ‘White Hot’ is kind of about the late French poet, Arthur Rimbaud in his second career as a general merchant cum seedy arms dealer in the Ethiopia, Somalia and Djibouti in the mid 1880s.
5. Rutabagas are not a turnip. They’re supposed to be sweeter than turnips. I won’t be doing any comparisons.

From yesterday.
Thanks for the name clarification of “Fairly Odd Parents”.
I found it online, but one of my usual sites has been shut down completely, and the other is now so cluttered with advertising that I only got about 5 minutes of the show in on two episodes before it froze completely each time.
From what I saw, the “odd” part is real.
Timmy used the line “From the internet.” in the first episode of season 1 to two of his friends within that five minutes though and from what you posted, Tigressy, it became a standard bit of scripting for the character.
I’d like to see more of the show, but if it keeps freezing it would be too frustrating.

QTπ does not have a UTI or pancreatitis. Its neurological.
She is at my vet overnight to stay under observation and get fluids and steroids to bring down any inflammation. Tomorrow after my client in the morning I’m getting her and transporting her to Clackamus to a vet with an mri and a neurologist.
$$$
The overnight is going to cost me $2,000.
The mri alone, much less the Dr., will be $2,300
I applied for and got a credit card for vet offices with a max of $2,200
My boss (BOSS!!!) is going to put $600 on the bill in Clackamus.
I have a little les than $300.
The local Humane Society is going to call my vet in the morning and get her info and see how much they can help with. ?$
Ive got a GoFundMe started, but even if that brings in any help, it’s going to be after the bill comes due, so to speak, these vets want cash up front.
And then, there is no telling what is wrong with her and what it’s going to take to fix it.

Oh man, that’s brutal. I can’t imagine how they can diagnose, let alone treat, neurological issues in an animal. The poor thing can’t even describe her symptoms.
Hoping, hoping, hoping for the best.

Our previous dog (Latte) cost us a lot because of her legs. It costs us a fair amount for pet insurance but with a max coverage of 80% plus $250, it’s worth it. BTW, the $250 deductible also covers regular visits, so if that’s used up, then the 80% is fully covered. I know it’s too late for you now in this instance, but it would be worth it in the future and to share this info with other readers.

I can’t do anything now, but I’ll donate in a couple of weeks to help.

Try that carrot soup on her.
I suspect she’s lonely when you’re at work; have you tried to take her with you?
Your clients might love that!
Try a warm water bottle with a wind-up alarm clock (heartbeat) in a blanket for her sleeping-place.

The Pilgrim Forebassets held a huge Thanksgiving feast every year…
We’ve seen pictures of it.

This bag of freshly caught kibble may be made into any number of dishes for the feast… roasted whole bag, kibble soup, mashed kibble, even kibble pie!

I don’t think canned dog food was available in the forests of the time.

It was discovered in the early 19th century, growing in a very limited area, so not every basset family had access to it even then…

Not until supermarkets were invented.
