Wow… If you measured the heights of all those buildings added in the last 69 years (or however many years from 1964 to the actual year the picture was taken, if not 2023) in feet…
In the car chase the bad guy passenger is one of Hollywood’s best stunt guys.
If you look you can see true concern on his face in that scene.
The guy driving was one of Hollywood’s best drivers.

Steve McHound: Known in his day as a basset’s basset.
The cartoon which appears at the 47 second mark is as old as teachers and students. By Google Translate….(as in the translate box)
-Sir, can we be punished for something we didn’t do?
-Certainly not…
-So, m’sieu, I will not be punished for not having done my duty.
“Duty is obiously a literal translation by the programming, but within the context, it’s got to mean homework.
Today’s Songs:
1. ‘Your Mama Don’t Dance,’ 2. ‘Your Wildest Dreams,’ 3. ‘You’re The One That I Want,’ and 4. ‘Yummy Yummy Yummy,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe 5. ‘Chicken Chili (low fat).’
1. Written in studio by Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina while waiting for their band to arrive. It wasn’t recorded until about 8 months later. ‘The Rooftop Singers’ song from 1963, ‘Mama Don’t Allow’ was an influence (recording below).
2. Written by lead singer and guitarist, Justin Hayward, it’s a reminiscence about his first love.
3. John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in ‘Grease’ (if you have never seen it, it’s a really fun movie / pure fluff, but it’s my kind of fluff).
4. From Mansfield, Ohio. ‘Yummy, Yummy, Yummy’ was written by songwriters Arthur Resnick and Joey Levine.
5. Virtually any chili powder recipe mix will overlap with the spices listed directly listed in the recipe (see my recipe as an answer to myself below). I’m not that fond of burning my tongue, so I’d leave out the hot chili peppers all together.
Another good group of songs. I love “Mama Don’t Allow”; I’d only heard it live. There were a couple blue-grass bands that would end with that. It’s particularly good with fiddle, mandolin, and dobro thrown in (that’s where I learned what a dobro is).
.
Photobomb?
Selfie with bud 😉
‘Shopped, but still cute.
NOSES!
“Hey! I’m not a barn cat! Look at the size of these things!”
.
That deserves a wow.
DZIOBY!
.
I wonder how much it can compute.
If it ran on rice (for power), that one grain would feed it for years!
..
Debbie Reynolds’ nightmare.
Didn’t do Fisher’s popularity a lot of good either.
And a few years later, they were divorced anyway.
…
When I was a kid, my dad thought the world of Eddie Fisher.
I think it was mostly cos he sang a sentimental song about his father, partly in Yiddish.
But this coupling ended that admiration.
see the kitty?
Yes!
That cat will never make it as an actor. Too wooden.
Boo! 😀
Grazie
It fits ! 🙂
I miss the raucous sound of the original. This is too clean for me.
Yeah yeah yeah ♥
I need to look at it when I’m closer to awake.
…(napping / big surprise) straight down from the top centre of the picture on the top log. Its face is facing us on the right edge of the log.
Took me five passes through to find it 🙁
Took me more than that!
NOSE!
Barely visible!
You should get extra credit.
Tell ya what… I’ll give you back that half a nose credit from the other day.
,.
Not the longest chain carved but a really clear picture:
(carved from a wide lead carpenter’s pencil.)
…
The three elephants were carved from the lead of a different pencil and added. The rest was carved in one piece from a single pencil:
A time lapse video of how it’s done.
It takes patience and skill.
This LINK leads to an article about the Bosnian sculptor, Jasenko Đorđević, with more pictures of his sculptures.
If you use a carpenters pencil:
Was that a number choo pencil?
Boo! 😀
Hong Kong 1964 and today
Went reaching for the sky, but lost it in the smog.
Wow… If you measured the heights of all those buildings added in the last 69 years (or however many years from 1964 to the actual year the picture was taken, if not 2023) in feet…
And added them up…
You’d be wasting a lot of time on silly trivia.
But I bet it would be a lot of feet.
whoa!
That’s allfull !
My guess before looking at the “after” photo is:
You got it…
And this time I had to look at the adult.
I recognize the after, I’m sure the costume helped.
I didn’t get this one (didn’t get yesterday’s either).
it was the smirk that did it for me!
The
Not in a million years would i have got that.

Those rocks really look sentient.
They’re on the move!

Here is my “My Mild Chili Powder Recipe”
Cobbled together by me from various other recipes on the ‘net.
MY MILD CHILI POWDER
1/2 Teaspoon___________Ground Black Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon___________Ground Cinnamon
1/8 Teaspoon___________Ground Cloves
1/2 Teaspoon___________Ground Coriander
1 Teaspoon____________Ground Cumin
1 Teaspoon____________ Garlic Powder
1 Teaspoon____________ Onion Powder
2 Teaspoons___________ Ground Oregano
2 Tablespoons__________Paprika (Sweet; which means not hot.)
1/8 Teaspoon___________Salt
1/2 Teaspoon___________Sugar
1 Teaspoon____________Ground Turmeric
Thoroughly mix all ingredients and store in an airtight jar.
The volume of the spice mix without ground hot chili pepper is just under 1/3 of a cup.
There are real chilis with real chili flavor and very little heat, like Ancho chili powder or New Mexico chili powder. You might give them a try.
