That’s why we fastened our Christmas-tree to furniture nearby after our tomcat had tried that and toppled the already fully decorated tree over.
Thank Dog we had electric lights on it.
It’s close enough to Christmas that I’m being different today.
I like all these 26 Christmas (well, Adam Sandler’s is a Chanukah song / but he’s having fun, and good on him) so 25 Christmas songs and one Chanukah song. They range from old church favourites, to the billboard charts, silly to ‘make you think’ .
Again, they’re in alphabetical order by title.
I can’t listen to them all, but Rockin around the Christmas tree opened the door to modern carols. Santa Baby is so hot. When my daughter was in her senior year, Seattle Girl Choir sang it, but I don’t think they ever reached the Eartha Kitt sexy level.

I’m posting it because he interviews Brenda Lee who has re-released “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (it’s below)..

Is this another photo of Robbie from yesterday?
I wondered too, but that guy looked maybe a little fluffier.
I love Goldens.
They act dumb, but every one that i knew were more lazy than dumb.
And curious.
And sweet.
NOSE!
’57 Chevy
Are you trying to set a trap for Rotifer?
not me!
I don’t know a lot about cars, but one thing that stands out even to me is the transformation of the mid-50s BelAir.
Nowadays I mostly can’t tell one year’s model anything from the last one, but looking at those Chevys …
from the modest looking 55, to the big 56, to the flashy 57, it’s like watching a little automotive history.
My folks bought one just like this in the fall of ’55
except of course, it didn’t have those racing wheels and tires
Is it on a levee?

Perfect. Overlooking the kingdom, reviewing the troops.
Good idea for a tree topper.
Whether you like it or not.
The angel atop the tree.
You sure about that angel thing?
Angel. Riiiiighhhtt.
Hah!
Illustrates the folly of the usual advice… to put only plastic, cloth, and other “cat-proof” ornaments on the bottom branches,
and reserve your delicate glass and collectible ones for the highest branches, the ones the cat can’t reach...
Yeah right…. the cat can’t… say what?

Cat tree/Christmas tree. Same difference.

Written by Harlan Ellison.
this episode was arguably Star Trek’s best
Hmmf. Did not think it was him, even though he looked vaguely familiar.
I should have got that. Dang.
I didn’t even begin to try; just did a right-click image search.
???
didn’t have a clue until i saw the ‘older’ picture!
I still have no idea.
These days he’s more known for his deep, powerful voice than for the roles he plays onscreen, but he’s also admired as a great actor.
You probably know that he voiced Darth Vader for decades.
Thanks, why didn’t he speak up when I opened the picture 😉
Eek
Hey, you switched pictures.
And switched it back…
But…. They’re videos, not pictures…. And this one had switched to the first one in Alexi’s long spoiler box, but now it’s back to yours.
Maybe just more WordPress weirdness?

I am definitely hearing the theme to the Andy Griffith show.
NOSE!
Two!

If I look at that long enough, I’ll be praying to the porcelain gods.
We have two CG lifeboats here in the harbor.
The local CG helicopter flies patrols up and down the coast quite often.
Love those guys.
They fly in CG helicopters around CG lifeboats? How in the he. . Oh! Oh, oh. You mean Coast Guard.
VIDEO OF, AND STORY BEHIND THIS (THAT’S A BELGIUM AIR FORCE HELICOPTER / you will probably have to turn on the sound)

What a beautiful wedding portrait.
Very Lovecraft.
That is the diplomat, Xantara, on the left in his “symbolic blue suit”. Nykara is his wife who is an artist.

I know you like to indulge that girl… but if I were you I wouldn’t be spending any more money on musical instruments for Cleo.
That one may have belonged to her Ex.
You know; that “Shake” wannabe:
The Piddler on the Roof.
For those of you who air fry:
I meant to post this yesterday, but I forgot.
It’s from yesterday’s London “Daily Mail.”
