It looks to me like this car, old as it presumably is, has an open moonroof. Must have cost a fortune, so I assume the parents are loaded. But never mind the windshield. If I’m right, in a collision, baby goes right out through the roof.
Wow, this is even less safe than the one we had for my little sister.
In fact, we may have originally had it for me, but I don’t remember.
….
At least it had a sort of square cloth box for a seat, with holes in front for the legs… kind of like one of those baby jumper seats (which you should never use, BTW).
But they all just hooked over the back of the car seat, so there was no attachment to the car, and nothing that strapped the child in.
…
I suppose she was safer than my baby brother, sleeping on the ledge between the rear seat and the back window.
apparently , Newton’s first law was broken consistently in the fifties:
Isaac Newton’s First Law of Motion describes the behavior of a massive body at rest or in uniform linear motion, i.e., not accelerating or rotating. The First Law states, “A body at rest will remain at rest, and a body in motion will remain in motion unless it is acted upon by an external force.”
That is literally what I pictured. I am ashamed of myself because I had a good hard laugh picturing the baby arcing through the air at the first hard stop.
Thanks, Happy³. 🙂

I’m wondering what its weather limits are. Something that big is going to be subject to being pushed about by virtually any wind at all. I’ve never read anything about how the Zeppelin fleet over came that either. By the article, there’s supposed to be one in the air and working by 2027 at the latest.
In regards to Zeppelins and weather, the US Navy lost two rigid airships in storms. That’s 2 out of 3 within a decade. In this age of speed I don’t see this catching on. There is nothing really new about it, every 10 years or so someone proposes something similar. What is new, is that they actually built this one. It’s best use is probably in forestry.
I’m here, I’m here… if you’re waiting for the solution, I’ve got it.
Well, the puzzle solution, anyway.
If there are other solutions you need, sorry, you might try have to try elsewhere.
A chemical solution, a solution to your problem with the neighbors, the solution to your crossword puzzle that I haven’t seen… I’m not bringing those. The solution to global warming… Good luck.
But if you need the solution to today’s Nine Differences Puzzle…
Aaand you’ve already given it your best shot… THAT I can give you.
Today’s Songs:
1. ‘Goldfinger,’ 2. ‘Guitars Cadillacs,’ 3. ‘Heaven Knows,’ and 4. Hey Mickey,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe 5. Chilled Cranberry Bisque (low fat)’
1. I was very surprised to find out that Anthony Newley, the English actor, is credited with John Barry and Leslie Bricusse with the composition of this song. He is also credited on ‘What Kind of Fool Am I’ and the score of 1971’s ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’. This is Dame Shirley Bassey in 2011; her voice has held up really well.
2. 1986: Dwight Yoakam wrote it, Dwight Yoakam sang it.
3. ‘ The Pretty Reckless’ is from Hoboken, New Jersey, as was Frank Sinatra. The rhythm gets to me
4. The original British release under its original title ‘Kitty’ by the band ‘Racey’ (Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn of ‘Racey’ composed it) is below. I do prefer Toni Basil’s reworked version.
5. This sounds like a good mix of tart and sweet. I’m also thinking that if you thickened it a bit it could also be used with turkey or chicken in place of just plain cranberry sauce.

He’s a handsome boy. He wouldn’t harm grandma though. She’s family. You, on the other hand, if he thinks you’re any threat to granny, are toast.
If he was a bit bigger she could cosplay as a Wolfrider.

Why is the toy soldier playing a set of false teeth?
Now i’ll never unsee that. 😀
Because if he drummed on someone’s real teeth, they’d get annoyed?

Heckuva cute baby. Is there anything intended to actually keep her seated in that contraption?
Theoretically, the angle of the seat bottom. Anything other than a very gentle stop and the kid is down.
no, but the windshield will keep the little bugger from hitting the street

Same here. I may look again tomorrow.
I didn’t get back to this until the evening and I found the ninth one. Now to check and see if I’m correct.
Nine!
OMG, I think I’ve found them all again.

I only got seven tonight. I’ll try for more in the morning.
I’ve seen a flying buttress… But never a flying butt.
My thought exactly. The latter, that is.
Thanks, Happy³. 🙂

After USS Akron crashed in the Atlantic with 73 dead, The US Navy thought it might be a good idea to equip their airships with life jackets…
