Doors like that are nowadays rightfully considered works of art….
Some cost as much as apartment buildings.
Also, in more innocent times, no one dreamt, much less worried, about the possibility of vandalism, theft or damage, or the high cost of insurance against all that.
In re: A Cleo Story A “two-fisted” all basset Christmas? I have yet to meet a two-fisted basset.
Lovely poster, though, very seasonal, including the pink Easter bunny/basset.
In the movie, and in the stories on which it’s based, Arfie’s aunt sent him a pink bunny suit… actually a footed sleeper like toddlers wear… as his Christmas present.
He hated it, but his mother thought he should wear it.

In re: Japan tsunami footage. From the one that took out the Fukushima nuclear power plant? I’m surprised the men watching and taking the video can joke about it, cause I hate it when that happens!
hard to tell. When I am able to speak with her directly (very infrequently) she is mostly
at a loss for words….as to her condition and prognosis , I am dependent on her Niece and her sister–both of whom aren’t talking or returning texts and calls
They probably forwarded them for a while but every hospital or care facility probably has a different policy on how long they continue to do so, once patients are released.
You could call her last place, Cooley-Dickinson Hospital, and ask them what they do with her mail… (413) 582-2000, remembering they’re 3 hours ahead of the West Coast.
….
Reminder for everybody….
Her current address:
Extended Care at Amherst
150 University Drive
Amherst, MA 01002-2232
You can put “attn: Candice Girouard” on top or use her name “in care of” the hospital.
I should be writing this on Friday’s strip not Thursday’s!

What do the signs say?
i couldn’t tell….
Too blurry for me.
I don’t see anything in the second story windows, so I’m guessing no one is living there. The signs may be for a realtor.
The Pink Lady is a historic landmark:

No one puts doors like that (very fancy) on apartment buildings any more.

Will cards still reach her at the old (hospital) address?
That’s pretty impossible to answer…
