Can you imagine the banker that has to try to deposit that?
Or would that be on the government?
Who gives you credit for severely damaged cash?
Treasury Department?
It doesn’t have to be in one piece here in Germany, but the 50% still apply.
Bundesbank, I think.
Real puzzle experts there. Reconstructing decayed bills from buried money etc.
When I was with Fujitsu, we created a briefcase carrier with an antenna built into the case and a battery. Weighed about 20 pounds, and would last 4 hours (if you didn’t use it).
I fell asleep over this puzzle last night and never commented.
I got some of the same answers as you two but I was about to stop working on it because a lot seemed impossible, and some of the answers I was pretty sure were correct had annoyingly wrong sounds in the rebus…
Like the person who created it went by the letters in the words but didn’t sound them out.
for instance
“China” is represented by “chain A” and “Poland” by “poo land”.
my only defense is the panel below briefly onscreen at the beginning
which sorta of skipped over the part where Indy actually entered the
cave and picks up when he is staring at the Ark in wonder

Spot!
No doubt, that is what i’d name her. 🙂
Hey that’s my line!
😁
NOSE!
Sad clown eyes.
Love me! Take me out of this cage! I didn’t MEAN to eat my owner’s $4,000 in cash! I don’t know why he’s soooo upset !
..
Ooh, that’s gonna have to come out of his allowance.

A bank will exchange a bill if you have over 50% of it…. Not sure if that has to be in one piece.
Otherwise it has to get sent to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and they decide what’s redeemable.
My friend had to do that with some cash after the wild fire here in 2017 burned down their house.
You fill out an application and it takes months.
She said she had a couple thousand in cash but they only refunded I think $700 cos so much was missing.

I can see your problem from here. You’re up a tree. Without a paddle.
Charlie Brown’s kite-eating tree has big dreams for sure.
George, George of the Jungle, Strong as he can be.
Aaaa-i-yaaah-i-yaaah-i-yaaah-i-aaah-i-yaaah
WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE!
(watched it on Saturday mornings with my boys) Best I could do to imitate his yell.

It’ll feel like you have the whole world on your hand.
I like how they say “only 28 ounces” so it’ll sound light. If it were something edible they’d say “almost two pounds!”
It’s also “only $800 ” IF you activate service with Radio Shack’s carrier. Wonder who that was back then.
It’s $2,000 without activation.
I knew two people with cell phones when they still were still attached to a big case, and local calls were $2 a minute on top of the monthly fee.
My boss called Las Vegas from San Francisco, and she said it usually cost $40 or $50 a call.

Good work, you guys.

And what I think must be “Taiwan” is “tie van”?

“The audience was enthralled throughout.”
This LINK will take you to the article about, and the video of the performance itself.
Again, only post, things to do.
4 NOSES!
What? The guitar player didn’t have a nose???
And so continues the arc of the Ark of the Kibble.
Ya need sound effects!
“…thip thipthip thip thip…”
The Ferengi on the wall is a nice touch.
NOSE!
Maybe more sense than the owner who dressed the little waif in those socks!
What an amazing coincidence. Guess what I had for dinner the night of the 11th?
Thai beef curry then, but close enough.
From scratch, sticking to the recipe – not bad at all!
A hamburger?
Spaghetti?
Come on, give us a hint.
Wish I could fix it, but it runs through my wife waaaay too fast. She has an Irish mouth, I’m guessing.
I beg your pardon, Mr Narrator…
But you must have seen a much longer Episode One than I saw!
In my version Indy entered the cave in between episodes.
But it’s okay… I love this adventure anyway!
nope. it’s the second episode
with two to go.
