aka daleandkristen

While on Vancouver Island, we had breakfast at a White Spot restaurant. We ordered pancakes. The meal was enough for a family. Didn’t find out that you could order a half portion. Then, overheard the table next to us ordering. At least their waiter asked! I do not like to leave food uneaten, but had to this time.

Western US has one called the Black Bear Diner that you have to be careful ordering at. They don’t want anyone leaving hungry. Great place.

Time to get rid of that out-of-date lipstick….

And while you’re at it, that out-of-date husband.

Believe me, you can find a better one.

The lipstick, too.

Well, you do have puzzle fanatics on staff who could possibly pre-screen them.

Pending huge salary increases, of course.

I never did find it… so I actually searched for a solution.

I rarely do that cos I hate giving up.

What I found makes no sense at all… unless the resolution is so bad everywhere that you just can’t see it. But Dudas usually doesn’t work with that fine a line.

Take a look…

It’s very tiny, up the top near the middle. I put a green square around it.

Maybe it’s supposed to be a computer mouse!

I can see something mouse size but colored orange, like the elephants, sort of poking out from behind an ear, in the indicated location. But it’s not really identifiable.

It’s a tiny heart we’re supposed to find – but that’s not possible with that resolution.

Try here:

Oh… You posted while I was uploading my image.

Thanks… I couldn’t find one so far at a good resolution.

I see the heart and it’s right where the mouse is supposed to be…

But did that site say we were looking for a heart and not a mouse??

Seems odd to change the target without changing the title!

Most people seem to have failed finding a mouse – and yes, this picture asks for a tiny heart.

I hunted down the “answer” on the DailyMail online site, not happy with the so-called reveal, supposed to be “found perching on an elephant’s trunk at the top of the picture, just to the right of centre”. Suuurrrreeeee… Maybe it’s supposed to be a computer mouse?

EDIT 1: OOPS! Looks like Tigressy and Susan and I were all working on the “solution” at the same time.
Gotta agree, Ladies, not a good puzzle. Daily Mail site does reference a mouse though. Not a mouse, does look a bit like a heart, I dunno…
EDIT 2: Looking some more online, and I agree with Tigressy, it should be a heart we are looking for (as sourced from author’s site:

I don’t know when this video was filmed, but I saw one the other day that said Dianna has been terribly ill with “long covid” and complications, and unable to post videos.

I hope she’s ok!

For those with old eyes like mine, FLOOP is on the outside of both our heroes when the floor opens up in the last panel (not much bigger than it appears in this comment).

Look out, BatBasset and Sparrow!

Too late… sigh…. trapped by the Evil White Cat!

DANG! Wasn’t anybody watching?!

Have they been talking to Cleo?
Or did they come up with that Bat-zooka idea all on their own?

Even had there been no listening device in that barrel… and rear of the building or not…

that resounding “Ka-Fump!“, and the subsequent loud “clunk!” might have been enough to alert the white furry menace and his henchcats.

I know it woke me up!

I mean… um.. not that I was…. well, you know.

Anyway, waiting till you’re inside the hideout to be quiet seems a little incautious as well, BatBasset.

But it doesn’t matter… the EWC already had his ears on you.

Now what?

What are his evil plans for you?

BatBasset and Sparrow are accustomed to saving people.

Unfortunately, they can’t call themselves to get them out of this trap.

Who will save them?

I’d do it, of course… if I didn’t have to …um… do that other thing… you know….

and…um… wash my hair and stuff.

I’d be glad to. Maybe next time, OK?

Must be a high-end brand…

Seriously: I didn’t doctor the original photo; just reduced the quality to be able to post it here size-wise. No pun intended.
