Captain Video was one of the first kids’ TV series I was aware of.
I loved it, but even as a little kid I recognized that it was cheesy.
Nothing like this movie, just people standing around fake controls on what looked like cardboard screens, and pretending to rock and sway when something hit the ship, or whatever.
And awww… what a cute little BatBasset and Sparrow.
They’d look so nice on a knickknack shelf.
Except for the fact that this is THEBatBasset and Sparrow!
The ones we need to save our arches…
the ..um….caped canine equivalent of custom orthotics!

(Holy rubber-band, Susan!
Everybody stand back… that analogy is stretched so far, I think it’s gonna snap!
Sorry… but, you know… they can’t all be gems.)
…
Dr. Ratbreth and the EWC have thrown our now-mini heroes a curve…
well, I guess that’s one curve they didn’t care to keep.
But how are two teeny weeny tabletop-size superdogs going to escape from the evil clutches of these feline fiends….
and save all the rest of the curved monuments?
Not to mention the future Big Macs and Quarterpounders of Got-Ham City… if not the world??
Does anyone know what Comics Kingdom has done? All the comics are coming up for next week and in random order! I’ve submitted a complaint as I can’t find my page. Anyone know where my favorites went (loading them 3 at a time is so annoying)!
Every one I tried to read was dated 3/6 (on 2/28). Today (2/29) they are all dated 3/7. They “upgraded” the site yesterday and it’s a horrible mess. Hope they get it fixed later today.

Lancaster PA – 1942
I wonder whether any confused would-be transit rider ever wanders into Ebby’s Diner, hoping for a ride across town.
“Wow, I didn’t know there was a dining car on the West Avenue trolley line!”
The intersection today.

“ Snow” By: Pascal Campion (Senior Member / DeviantArt)
Is that a sign that means something somewhere?
And no, I don’t mean “subtraction”.
I mean a traffic sign.
Probably “No Entry”
Oh… OK…
We don’t have a standard “No Entry” sign in the US, AFAIK.
Most of them are white rectangles with black lettering that say “Do Not Enter.”
Clever, eh?
Trying to drive up a freeway exit (a bad idea) or turn into a one way street in the opposite direction, you’ll see “Wrong Way! Do Not Enter!”
All that reading could be replaced by –!
All public roads I travel use the sign MoreCats posted above. I’ve seen variation on private property, driveways, etc.
I don’t recall ever seeing it… then again I seldom turn the wrong way into one way streets or, these days even drive out into the countryside.

Here is WIKIPEDIA on this 1952 movie serial; which in turn was based on an early television series.
…
However it was well after 1952.
OK, maybe not so well after, but after.
We got our TV in the 50s.

Hoffman never had a role as Dali.
Yes, it was for an ad.
But that IS Dustin Hoffman posing as Dali in the picture.

Who’s supposed to be peddling?
I think the front pooch is pedaling the back pedals.
That’s what I thought too… But I don’t see any pedals there.
The chain doesn’t seem to go there, either.
It looks more like a foot rest, maybe for coasting.
In fact I only see one pedal on the bike.
Artistic license, or do you see something I don’t?
It all gets fuzzy back there, so I filled in some with my imagination. ☺
I wouldn’t want to meet him in a labyrinth.
Or anywhere else for that matter. Except maybe on a hamburger bun.
He doesn’t appear to be fixed, therefore: NO to both.
I’d take the oysters from a very young one though.
Elvis as Lucky Jackson singing “Viva Las Vegas.”

ANSWERS HERE
I got three.
Some of them are a bit of a stretch in my opinion.
I got one.
Before I look at the answers…..
1. All show degrees
2. All contain springs
3. All have screens
4. All have columns
5.
6. All represent(?) charges
7.
8.
9.
10. All places for letters?
I’ll confirm your #6, I can add #7, but #3 (Windows) is probably applicable to a country other than mine, as they are really rare over here.
Agree on # 7;
Window screens are actually fairly uncommon here in northern California, too, but quite prevalent in some parts of the US.
In fact moving here from Wisconsin I couldn’t believe there were none.
I didn’t even know about cricket screens till very recently, cos we don’t have cricket here.
Just coincidental that I saw them mentioned in an article about something else.
It made them pop into my mind when I saw this puzzle, and that was the only thing I could think of that might tie those things together.
I guess I’ll know when I look at the answers.
Come back and tried again…
All I can think of in addition to the above is that
Rivers and noses have bridges, and some dentures are bridges… Not sure how to say that for an answer but I think the word “bridges” is involved.
2 spring
3 screen
4 column
5 bridge
6 charge
7 racket
8 shower (had to look that up – pretty far-fetched)
9 spread
10 letters
I figured all but 2 out.
#3 I know nothing about cricket, so I was clueless
#5 All I could think
Thanks for the answers Alexi.

“Loup Garou” By: Rafa Krek (digital painting / ArtStationon)
A loup garou is part of French Canadian shape shifting lore ; the shapeshifter can be a dog (as here), wolf, calf, small ox, pig, cat, or owl.

Ratbreath? 😀
Indeed.

and let nothing bar their way.

Does anyone know what Comics Kingdom has done? All the comics are coming up for next week and in random order! I’ve submitted a complaint as I can’t find my page. Anyone know where my favorites went (loading them 3 at a time is so annoying)!
I don’t go there often, and I’m not a subscriber, so I don’t have my own page..
And I’m not sure what you mean by “all the comics for next week”.
But I went there a little while ago to check it out, and I didn’t see any strips for any days after tomorrow.
I can’t imagine them showing them a week ahead of time on purpose!
Maybe it was a temporary glitch🤞🏼?
Every one I tried to read was dated 3/6 (on 2/28). Today (2/29) they are all dated 3/7. They “upgraded” the site yesterday and it’s a horrible mess. Hope they get it fixed later today.
