Might be even scarier with one big eye in the middle of the face. Ask Odysseus.

Even when you see them walking around in the zoo, eating fruit and scratching their butts, they don’t look real.

They look like African masks come to life.

Clayton Moore. The real Lone Ranger!

He was sued to stop him from making personal appearances as the Lone Ranger which he did for years after his movies and TV show how were finished.

He totally identified with the character.

The public took his side, and refused to see new Lone Ranger movies with a different star, and eventually the lawsuit was dropped.

I remember him suing someone to regain the right to wear the mask.

I think that was a countersuit, because of the one from the producers.

In the end, it all got dropped, cos the producers realized they were on the wrong side in the public eye…

And Moore continued to inhabit and embody the character.

That’s a really cool restaurant on top of that pyramid! It ought to be used in a James Bond movie!

I’m with Susan here.
Is the guy on the left Clint doing the drifter?
Middle right looks kinda like Liam Neeson.
Something familiar about the guy on the right but i can’t put my finger it.

Does look like Eastwood in that role…

The other side I don’t know.

I’d thought it was one movie, but yeah, probably scenes from two different ones.

The one with the cigar reminds me of Citizen Kane or maybe Scarface. I didn’t see either movie, so I’m going on general impression.

Definitely not Citizen Kane.

I’ve never seen Scarface but I think it was Al Pacino.

The other guy, not the one with the cigar, kinda looks a little like Pacino.

The chicks all look terribly unhappy and uncomfortable. Maybe it’s their “tiger mom” and her helicopter parenting style.

IMO, Carl Perkins was a much better performer than Elvis and later wanna-be’s.

Don’t get me wrong…. I think Carl Perkins is one of the greats.

I could listen to rockabilly all day long… it’s some of my favorite music.

….

But a much better performer?

Well… luckily for you, I guess, that just proves you’re not female 😁

I mean… come on.….

The real Elvis, that silky voice, here, without all of the magical electronic enhancements.
Sorry, Susan, us guys like that voice as well.
Gone way too soon.

I didn’t mean to imply that “real” guys didn’t like Elvis…
Of course they do.
His voice is amazing.

….

I was facetiously separating his “performance” from his singing…

The knowingly handsome face … with sly smiles of amusement, shyly raised eyebrows and lowered lashes…

Little wriggles and jokes.

He’d discovered his power over women and used it.

Something Carl Perkins couldn’t match and didn’t offer… great as he was at what he did

So when you ask a woman who was a better performer….

I can’t speak for all of us…

But I do think to most of us it’s probably not a question of better singing or songs.

Not does it say anything one way or the other about his appeal to men.

I’m really not a great fan of the Man per sé, I’m more a Beatles and Rolling Stone, Arlo Guthrie guy 70s-80s up to some Disco. But for some of Elvis’ melodies, they are unforgettable. Songs like, “In the Ghetto”, the songs which told a story, meaningful songs, and NOT the late-50s or the sixties, not the hips-a-swinging performances, not the sneers, not the innuendoes. Just that silky voice, and the passion in his eyes and on his face.Yaay, a Force to be reconned with…
