The English equivalent of P-51 Mustangs flying that close to the ground. If those are similar to dandelions, those seeds would be flying everywhere in the background.
The noise from those engines. Her hands would be covering her ears, unless it’s too late.
She’s also standing in what I can only describe as a tortured position, twisting her legs and arching her back, so as to present all her assets towards the plane…. Well, presumably, the pilot.
It’s not made any easier by her riding what appears to be a boy’s bike…
Maybe she’s wearing heels so that she can stand tall enough to clear the crossbar.
Another cool J Chein wind-up…. Nowhere near as valuable as the Popeye one for several reasons.
A lot more were made, and it’s about 20 years newer… You can tell by the lithos that this is a 1950s version.
And of course, it doesn’t feature Popeye.

Chein made tons of tin roller coasters, carrousels, and Ferris wheels… Some as late as the mid 1960s. Amazingly delicate and complicated pieces joined with tiny little tabs, so that most you find are in need of some repair.
The roller coaster is the least intricate, but it’s still a problem finding one with every part, especially the teeny tin cars, which are usually missing.
I had and sold this piece back in the 1980s, but I wanted to see what it sells for today… You know, so I could kick myself.
But the asking prices i saw tonight were all over the map… From theoretically $69 to $875.
The $69, though, was on eBay, where people tend to wait till the last second to bid, hoping nobody notices and they get it for a low offer.
But I’ve seen things go up hundreds of dollars in the last 5 minutes.
I got I believe $100 at a toy show in the early 80s… But it wasn’t complete and I never was a high end dealer.

The hum of two Merlins is nothing but music to the ears; no need to cover them.
