The only one I don’t recognize is the middle guy in the top row…
But he looks kind of familiar, so I keep thinking it might just be a bad picture of someone I should know.
Thanks to the Third Reich, we lost most of our great filmmakers – the lucky ones moved from Europe to Hollywood. Some of them made movie history before here in Germany.
And then, there are those from Great Britain and other European countries, Australia, Canada, China, India, Korea, Japan,…
There’s a very similar picture floating around the Internet, but it’s a little boy. I think we’ve had it posted here, quite a while ago.
In a high wind this could happen to a small adult!
It’s as easy as… um… falling off a log.
…
Never get a door that swings wider than your porch… or maybe never make your porch narrower than the distance your door can swing open!
That side of the porch and stairs should have a railing anyway…
And there should be a mechanism on the door to limit its travel, so she can’t bash into the railing.
Just in case anybody feels puzzled….
I thought I’d bring the solution.
Just be sure to do your best to find all ten differences before you peek.
Take a good look around the room… one or two are relatively subtle.
But you’ll see them! I’m confident.
…
While you’re looking around the room though, be careful not to wake Cleo. It’s so annoying to be awakened before the alarm goes off, especially if you don’t really have time to go back to sleep.
And an annoyed Cleo is a disgruntled Cleo… maybe even an angry Cleo…. and we’ve seen what happens to squirrels.
Of course, if you’re as powerful as the EWC, it won’t be such a problem…. But who’s that powerful?
Bummox! Thought there was something different on one object, but thought it was that the object might have been slightly lower, and not the difference that is actually there…..
Late getting back here, I came back to find something and came across your query. Yup, MCTS has the gist of it.
I had heard the term previously, we do get some British TV shows up here, and then there was “The Benny Hill Show”…
.
St Isaac’s Cathedral in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Beautiful!
Makes my cluttered living room look underdecorated.
,
It’s Hercules, battling, I believe, another god, who has taken the form of a serpent.
That’s as far as my memory goes…. and that’s if I have the right statue.
Herkules, I’d assume, too but fighting Hydra.
..
Segway XXXXL.
Do you think they could have found tires that were any more bald?

Considering how many great stars I don’t know, I’m impressed there’s only one here I don’t recognize!
Me too!
The only one I don’t recognize is the middle guy in the top row…
But he looks kind of familiar, so I keep thinking it might just be a bad picture of someone I should know.
I don’t have #7 and am not sure if I’ve got #9 right.
I think you’re right… to my mind, a bad picture of what should be a familiar and more handsome face.
#s 7 and 9
Are William Holden and Gregory Peck
Of course! Thank you!
But the latter’s picture looked quite unfamiliar to me.
Still – not too bad for a German girl, huh? 😉
Yes… considering how few German stars I can identify.
Then again, not as many German films are shown here, compared to the popularity of Hollywood films around the world.
Especially scarce are German films made during Hollywood’s “Golden Age” when they wouldn’t have been very well received in the US.
…
I know a few German actors primarily from English speaking roles in American films. Some actually moved here, so it hardly counts.
Plus I used to recognize a few actors from German cinema of the 1970s because I loved Herzog so much….
I was also a Fassbinder fan, but Herzog more.
When I left my store in San Francisco and started living full time in a much smaller city 50 miles north, I lost my access to most foreign films.
My memory of the ones I saw remains, after 50 years, but the actors names, sadly, are fading 🙁

Oh – and Bollywood is even larger than Hollywood.
#7 was my downfall too.
.,
Don’t buy a ticket!

“Spare some kibble for a couple of hungry travelers?”
..,
just a little Monty Python
Ahhh… Terry Giliam.
I knew it looked familiar… But not quite Steig or Edward Gorey.
Whoah!
Watch mim’s reaction, right at the end.

“Spare some meow mix for a couple of hungry travelers?”
see the Impala?
Yup.
What year?
Yes. I see it.
’58
you guys probably have figured out by now that I have an affinity for those old Chevys
Yes.
Took a minute but yes!
And he’s beautiful.
Vlad. 😉
I couldn’t find it last night.
Did this morning.
..and she was waiting patiently all that time
Eight so far…
Nine…

When you’re sure you’re ready, check my solution
Got them all.
Found nine.
Bummox! Thought there was something different on one object, but thought it was that the object might have been slightly lower, and not the difference that is actually there…..
Bummox?—my spell check refuse to acknowledge the existence of that one….
taking it in context, I must assume that it is similar to: ARRRGGH!
which is my go-to expression of exasperation
It is a more PC variant of the English expletive:
LOL… the only people maybe bothered … or who would even recognize it.. would probably be your fellow Brits.
Not sure about Canadians.
Steve? BaconBoy?
…
We don’t use it, so most Americans wouldn’t get any rude meaning…
Just like bl***y, which passes unnoticed here.
In fact, some Americans might use either, trying to sound cool, and not even realizing they’re stepping on any toes.
I know it, but am only amused by it. (Remember I’m an ex-Brit!)
I hope you didn’t know that word before you moved to Canada!
My understanding was that you were a small child!
I definitely didn’t know it at three years old, but I hung out with a low grade of English ex-pats…

The three i missed, i feel so dumb.
As I’ve said… the ability to recognize visual patterns has zero connection to intelligence.
Eyesight, spatial awareness, all kind of other skills and traits might be involved… some correctable, some innate…
But none signaling IQ.
This also applies to dyslexia and sometimes to late/early reading, where patterning skill might be lacking or abundant.
…
Do the puzzles for fun, test yourself against your own personal best…
But not against others or their supposed “genius”.
I bet some birds are better at it than we are!
I see seven tonight.
♫ Se-ven
I see se-ven
… ♫
I found all ten.
