There’s gotta be a fire hydrant around here somewhere!

It looks wonderful… but quite hard to get up from, because of that small raised bit of floor.
Even harder if that’s cushioned.

I guess I’d just have to stay.

It’s Hobbit-forming, you say?

If what I think is the grasshopper is, indeed, a grasshopper… then yes.

Otherwise… No.

That may be the juvenile form, or a different species than the iconic picture.

A juvenile wouldn’t have wings. (and there are LOTS of species!)

Took me a while. It is tiny relative to the size of the blades of grass. I’ve never seen one so small.

Well, to make you feel like you’re upright, it has to be going pretty fast. At the same time. it will make you feel like you weigh more than you normally do. Don’t get on there if your bladder’s full.

Apparently the prototype for the original Disneyland monorail, although that was not its original intention.

A little takeoff on Buster Keaton and that falling house wall….
and to think it’s probably a parent doing the filming!!

I’m sure they measured and marked, and planned and supervised…
But if those were my kids… No bleeping way!

Look at the ladder bounce around the little girl’s ankles.

It doesn’t have eyes to see where it’s landing…
And it was one gust of wind away from clobbering both of them.

I’m pretty sure it’s a fake. The rungs reach the boy when the ladder is about 45°. That means, the gap the boy is in will move forward by the same amount it moves down. That distance is greater than the wrung spacing, so the boy would be hit at some point.

I wonder what they’re attacking? Whatever it is, I don’t think it’s getting away.

Blackjack is back!

The baddest black-hatted basset that ever blasted into this burg, guns a-blazin’!
A four-legged legend, in a league of his own!

I love this animation!

He’ll shoot your words down and make you eat them.
Be sure you don’t use any sharp ones!

When I think of Brian Hyland (not that I tend to think of Brian Hyland , unless something reminds me)… I think of Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, or maybe Sealed With a Kiss.

And yes, I do remember that he did those… so sue me.

I forget that, unlike most of his bubblegum contemporaries, he managed to change somewhat with the times.
