Corporations get favorable tax rates on earnings…. Sometimes ridiculously so.
But that’s not directly related to payroll taxes.
if they have employees, they pay half of that person’s social security contribution and the other half is taken out of the employee’s paycheck.
…
As for the corporation itself, and it being a “person”…
There are at least two kinds of corporations…
I’m no tax lawyer, so I may not say this exactly right….
But I do know that one kind pays the earnings to the owner(s), who then pay individual income tax on the money, including social security (and Medicare).
Since their own corporation pays them, it’s like being self employed. They have to pay both halves of the social security contribution… I think that’s around 12% right now.
…
The other kind is a separate entity, that files and pays its own taxes.
If you work for it, you get a paycheck, and your corporation withholds SS, and also pays its half as your employer.
If you get distributions that are not earnings, you pay tax on that too.
In a way, it’s double taxation, but it works out better in some cases. Don’t ask me… This is about as far as I go.
…
Oh… Except to say… People and corporations pay into Social Security…. SSDI.
You asked about SSI, which usually stands for supplemental security income, paid to people with few assets who don’t make a minimum standard on regular social security.
I didn’t know whether that’s actually what you meant.
They get a small amount of added income from the state they live in, not the federal government.
Contributions to that program, qualifications, and amounts paid vary widely from state to state.

Don’t forget he grew up performing in English music halls….
He probably had to know how to sing and dance along with everything else he did.
Comedy, pantomime, a little bit of everything.

And I don’t think Ollie is doing too badly either, especially for his size.
He was a stage performer… I didn’t know if he ever danced but he was a singer.

Nice Kitty…. Here, Spot!
Not a being whose acquaintance you would want to make face-to-face.
That should give me time to step aside. 😁
If corporations are people i’m wondering if they contribute to SSI.

That could affect finding differences too.

No. It’s my eyes.

And if you have items not allowed in your carry-on, you have to put them in your baggage.
Could be due to balancing the weights.
Has anyone put anything in your luggage that you are not aware of!
The issue isn’t the weight going on the plane, it’s the cost of hernia surgery for the baggage handlers.

A place called Basset Hound Ranch!
Very much enjoyed the All Shook Up clip with L & H. I thought Stan looked as if he really did know how to dance and move gracefully.

Love this view of the drive-in.
Looks like they’re up quite a little hill. It’s good when they’re built like a shallow amphitheater.
We used to go to a drive-in that had no rise to it… In fact on one side the back spaces were a little lower than the front ones.
You can probably guess where the teenagers parked when they… um… didn’t really come to watch the movie.
