That’ll do, Kangaroo.
That’s enough, Powderpuff.
Say goodbye, Sugar pie.
It’s been swell, Tinkerbell.

My dad’s were:
Y’know what I mean Jelly Bean
Just what I said Pumpkin head

Then we’d make up more as we talked. Thanks for posting this… great memories.

I’d be willing to bet it’s the same one that I did…

…”Maverick” (and I only got that because I recognized James Garner).

Me too. But I’ve been a James Garner fan for much of my life. I only saw Maverick later in reruns. But Support Your Local Sherriff and … Gunfighter, Rockford Files, and the revival of Maverick were all shows/films I enjoyed him in.

Will Hutchins still lives on Long Island, NY. Quite the celebrity. I believe he may be the only one of those pictured still living.

I didn’t realize they were all the TV stars till I saw Alexi’s post.

Before that I only recognized James Garner too…. I’d say he’s pretty much the only one who became widely known.

I wondered who they were, and if it was some movie I didn’t know about.

Funny thing is I thought I recognized Jack Kelly, as well, and wondered why both Mavericks world be in a movie together.

But I was looking at Peter Brown (not a name I remember) and not the real Jack Kelly, right next to him.

The sad thing is I watched at least a few episodes of every one of those shows, and a lot of a few of them, but I’ve forgotten all those faces and most of their names.

Our whole family watched Maverick.

My sister and I were crazy about Will Hutchins, but Sugarfoot was on a revolving schedule with two other shows, so we only watched it every third week.
I didn’t think it was on as early as 1959. I would have said 1961 or 62, but I guess I’m wrong. I was pretty young.

I always thought John Russell looked like a store mannequin.

I think this was the point that I realized (at nine years old) that EVERY show on TV was a western, and chose to boycott the whole genre. It’s affected my attitudes towards any enforced “preferences” to this day. (Don’t ask me about chocolate chip cookies and orange pekoe tea…)

It’s a day later and I can barely get an image from either. Nighthawks, you’ll be hearing from my optometrist…

A search for Perry Avenue in Montgomery, Alabama brought up no map location. There is a Perry Street with both a south and north section, but there is nothing remotely close to a “rich” neighbourhood on either section.

Source for calling this PERRY AVENUE.

Our first husky never tore things up (except the squeaky toys we gave him). Our second husky only caused damage outside. When she chased chipmunks into the down spouts, she’d chomp the metal downspout and crushed it.

Thanks for your post yesterday about your dogs.

I’m familiar with a lot of dog breeds but I had no idea there were short haired huskies, or that the term covered more than one actual breed!

The ones called Siberian Huskies were the only ones I knew.

The Wikipedia page on huskies is interesting, with pictures of breeds known as one type or another of husky that I would never have recognized as such.

Too much information to post here, but you might want to take a look.

As an aside… I also apologize cos I made a typo when writing about Santa Rosa… we have almost 180, 000 people, not 280,00. I didn’t even notice the mistake till you commented.

But what’s an extra hundred thousand people, anyway, right?

I’m going to have to go back into this and get some of the titles to see if I can find them published online.
Another good one by Pete beard. Thanks for posting it.

I can show you the differences I found… but first you have to try to find them yourself.

New roof went on today. Glad that it’s over. Shingles came with a 50 year warranty, so I’ll never have to worry about that again.
