Had to fasten the tires to the rims or the tires would just spin off. Incredible torque when they went from a standing start.
Here’s a good explanation:
Another interesting tidbit. I had looked on the IMDb website for a cast listing for the show, and Burt didn’t turn up. I hope he shared a little of the bounty with Doc.
If you’r e in Los Angeles, you can still get a view similar to this (no river) from 71Above. Pretty good grilled octopus, too. We were looking down on a police helicopter as it flew by.
If this were real, the shark would be in the middle of a turn away from the surfer. The fin appears to be the closest part and the snout is further from the front of the wave. I think the surfer scared him.

I was always taught to multiply and then divide…. PEMDAS … before adding and subtracting… Which gives 34.
But a viral problem in the last year or so had math teachers posting that children were now taught that the order of operations is strictly left to right…
Which makes no sense to me, but everyone was agreeing… And that would give 42.
Basically, if they’re able to arbitrarily change the order we’ve all learned, no one should ever post an equation without parentheses.

Who put that sliding door in the way when I was running out the door after that squirrel?
Who nose?

Call me a skeptic, but I think he is going to have problems racing on that tire.

Interesting, although I understood little of it. Apparently my skepticism was well-founded. 😉🙄
Who woulda thunk..

What is Burt Reynolds doing among the cast of Gunsmoke?
He was there for 3 years before Doc (Milburn Stone) talked him onto following his movie career.
Another interesting tidbit. I had looked on the IMDb website for a cast listing for the show, and Burt didn’t turn up. I hope he shared a little of the bounty with Doc.
I loved that show!
Roger Maris home runs in 1961
..
Man! It still brings back bad memories!

Is it available in velvet?
LOL!
WTH? More than a little grim.
I don’t think you’ll ever get THAT one in a Legos set!
I thought, “Yeah, right… who’d want their kid playing with that!” but. I searched it…
It’s actually meant to be part of an old West model train setup.
It’s available online, 3-D printed, assembly required, for only $3.95.. and $6.00 shipping.
One reason for the low price and also the lack of detail is that it’s N scale… Very tiny.
I’d still skip it.
I remember the ad featured HO scale version for $7.95
Aah… so this picture might actually show the version in glorious full definition HO…
Possibly all of 2×3″…. Where a 6′ tall man is about 8/10″ high.
N scale is half that.

Love Motown music

U-turn!
Where’s my knife? Shark fin for soup!
Not a shark. Dolphin or Porpoise. Ive seen seals surfing the underside/inside of the wave. They seem to be fascinated by surfers.
There are species of deep water sharks that it resembles, but it is also a very easy thing to photoshop in.

BTW, what is at the back of the surfboard?
His heels?
Yes, I think so.
Knees bent, feet upward.
Yankees?! 😣
For those who don’t recognize him at this age and want to guess…
He’s 87 now, though I don’t know when this was taken.
He’s so well known as a
But according to Wikipedia, where I looked up his current age, he grew up in New Jersey and has always been a Yankees fan as well.
Recognized him at once.
Me too.
Thanks, clueless, as usual :-S
ok ok,,,tomorrow you guys get a quantum physics quiz
I’d rather have a physic.
The “answer” as shown in the spoiler box makes no sense, for multiple reasons.
I came up with the meaning of life.

Very handy. Not that I’ll remember it, but still.
“Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally.” is the (word I forgot) to help remember the correct order of mathematical functions.
Same.

AMEN to parentheses!!!!
Me too
Agreed!
How can you say on one line that shuttlecock, or clock, has one value, then change it to another value with no explanation?
They literally say this item stands for this much so in solving the problem, it represents a different amount.
Huh?
Plus the order of operations can be disputed without parentheses.
I hope no math teacher created it.
I’m thinking Cleo would just watch for the entertainment value.
A very young Lauren Bacall.
She was a cover girl and stage actress at 17, and a movie star at 20
This looks to be before all that… so she must be a teenager.
As if it weren’t already too late for the Cliffords to plan on having children.
Claude might be about to make doubly sure.
I figured this was the reason that they didn’t have any.
