Actors Christopher Lee, Vincent Price,
Peter Cushing and John Carradine in a
publicity still for Pete Walker’s 1982
comedy horror ‘House of the Long
Shadows’ which starred all four actors.
Notice that on the altered picture of just the three…
(I guess they took out Peter Cushing cos he didn’t look scary enough?)
they’ve enhanced and deepened the shadows on their faces, and their eyebrows.
I think they even lengthened their faces a bit… either individually or by “stretching” the whole image. Easy enough to make slight changes to the aspect ratio,.
I found it, but it’s close to finding an image of Mother Teresa in a pineapple slice.
It is plainer than a good many of the Dudolf puzzles we’ve had before though.
.
What’s ya doing?
Drool starting in 3,2,1…
“You has cheeseburger… I likes cheeseburger…”
.
♫♪”There’s a bathroom on the right…”♫♪
..
Who’s the character in green?
As near as I can tell (going by the gun she wields in the story), she is a character known as Irma Kruhl, and is in love with Captain America.

…
Ooh! Ooh! I know this one…
Still so young and innocent looking.
The probably most reliable caption I found online said it was taken at RCA studios, on December 1st, 1955.
A couple of others simply said “Elvis, ca 1956”.
,
You expect anything different?
Is there anything they are allowed to see?
I don’t see Fox on that list.
Figures!
Can they get Cleo and Company?
That’s the most important thing!

The Masters..
There’s one actor missing.
The description for the above comes from HERE.

Okay, so I got one out of four…
Me too.
But there are other pictures of both Christopher Lee and John Carradine that are much more recognizable.
I recognize the top right one. And… BONUS… I remember his name too.
I didn’t get John Carradine, but else…
I’ve got to hear Carradine to know for sure that it’s him.
Plus Desi Arnaz – but Jr.
Yes; the child born on that show.
“On that show?”
I’m guessing you don’t mean this movie, in which he’s an adult.
If you mean “I Love Lucy”, Desi Arnaz Jr wasn’t actually born on that show, either.
He was born to Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz when she was playing Lucy… but behind the scenes. The baby she had on the show was an actor.
One set of twins played “Little Ricky” as an infant, another set as an older baby, then Richard Keith took over when he was a child.
Oh my.
Grain of salt?
“”?

Oops.
No wonder he didn’t look like John Carradine to me!
I never recognize Peter Cushing.
🤭
That’s one way to give them the brush-off…
I have a friend who got his degree at Fredonia (NY State University at Fredonia) and he’d never heard:
BTW this is from Duck Soup
,.
a clipping from page two of a our local paper on December 11, 1941
this was probably a bad idea
reminds me of ‘The Mouse that Roared’
Don’t forgot The Mouse on the Moon.
Wibberly wrote some good stuff!
Excellent movies!
“The Mouse That Roared” is kinda like “Duck Soup.”
It seems strange that the story sounds almost positive!
The declaration of war between the US and Italy is just kind of tucked in at the bottom, as though it’s not the main bit of news.
find the jack-o-lantern
Is he the online mortgage advisor?
(okay, this one was reasonable)
I found it, but it’s close to finding an image of Mother Teresa in a pineapple slice.
It is plainer than a good many of the Dudolf puzzles we’ve had before though.
Well…. I’m pretty sure I found it…
But my response was more along the lines of “You’ve got to be kidding.”
Alexi… I don’t totally understand about the pineapple slice… But I think we agree.
Yes, that’s what I spotted too (I know what I was thinking with the Mother Teresa bit, but I guess I didn’t express it well).
I saw that but didn’t think that could be it. Bad puzzle! Bad!
I thought it was better than a lot we’ve seen lately!
A low bar…. 😁
I can’t find Jack…
I did find a Jill-o-lantern.
The one I found or something else?
Yup 🙂
How to get rid of dead wood in the police department…
Reminds me of one of my husband’s acquaintances from the Botanical Garden here in Munich: The squirrels and birds constantly mistake him for a tree.
Apparently he needs a good de-lousing.
I always did like Styx .
Carlin beisbol vs. futbol is a gem.
in football the field general tries to use his aerial assault or ground game to penetrate enemy lines
in baseball, the goal is to go home! to be safe…at home!
in football you wear a HELMET.
in baseball you wear a cap!
But those (classic) caps are really sturdy!
Is anyone else finding the GoComics site really slow to load?
I thought it might be just my computer, but the library’s system is slow too.
Re:
The Beach Boys
Bob ran, but where was he running to?
And what about Cincinnati Day?
I once lived in Cleveland Heights… do they get to share Cleveland Day?
I’d like to make a Cleveland Heights cake… or maybe some bagels.
And hang up my Cleveland Heights stocking on Cleveland Heights Eve.
at least you got to live in the hoity-toity Heights of Cleveland…..
and Cincinnati day?
now that’s just crazy talk
But there is Day ton.
And Akron, and Toledo!
And my cousin lived for a while in Canton.
We’re gonna need new calendars!
And a LOT of little flags!
