This dog looks as if no two parts of him are going in the same direction.

He has too much skin even for a basset hound.

But he might just be a bit underweight.

Yes … And as it shows in the picture…

It’s a good place to eat it, in the sand which is there.

Either that or the KKK is trying a new approach to recruiting members.

My first thought, too, was that it looked like KKK, though I knew it wasn’t.

I would have recognized her immediately in all but the youngest photo… It seems somehow fantastical that she could have ever looked that young and vivacious. She is, of course,

SPOILER?
Angela Lansbury.

Subtle…
(Kinda ironic that some of the biggest gangsters were Italian…)

Tried Lens to translate it…. Here’s what I got

INHUMANE CRIMES BY “GANGSTER PILOTS” FOREVER RADIATE THE UNITED STATES FROM THE CIVIL CONSORTIUM

Okaaayyyy…
So I kept looking…..

On one website, I found this

“The inhuman crimes of “gangster pilots” will radiate the United States from civil society forever”.

I’m getting the idea that radiano means something more like ban or keep out.

Ok…. Google Translate says it can mean expel.

So… I’m going to go with “The inhumane crimes of its gangster pilots will forever keep the United States from being part of a civil society.”

…..

On another site, it was suggested that the strange attire and swarthy features of the supposed American pilot were chosen to remind Italians of the Sicilian mafia, which they would recognize.

Don’t forget that law-abiding Italians didn’t care for the Mafia any more than did law-abiding Americans, and didn’t see them as part of civil society either.

It even caused a kind of racial prejudice in Italy… since Sicilians often have somewhat darker skin than northern Italians, their physical features were associated in cartoons and movies with crime and bad behavior, even though most are innocent of any connection.

Well, I certainly can’t say I recognized him from his younger picture, even though I have heard him referred to as handsome, which I never understood (till now, I guess.)

We’re talking, of course,

about
The late horror master, Vincent Price.

Yay, I got the older pic.

My wild guess at the young one was
Johnny Weissmuller, because he played Tarzan (which that pic reminds me of)

It’s got to be AI. There can’t be an artist that ignorant of road markings.

Besides that…. telephone poles wouldn’t be on both sides of the road, especially way out in the countryside with few customers…. and rural ones are much farther apart.

And it seems to be dated 2028. Maybe ’23 but that’s a stretch.

When requesting AI art, many of the programs allow you to enter a style. So AI can create “chalk, pastel, or painted” “art”.

But there wasn’t readily available AI in 2018.

Is 2018 verified on the original site or accepted off the image? That road makes no sense at all.

Everybody who was looking for the cat in yesterday’s …uh… I don’t know whether to say “puzzle”, but I guess so.

I was wrong… Okay, not wrong, in that I did find a cat.

But there was a more likely solution, posted late by Liverlips McCracken… who hasn’t mentioned it here, so I will.

Thanks, Liverlips!

I suggest taking a look, if you were one of the searchers.

….

Which reminds me that in the last couple of days, the 26th and 27th, I answered other people, including Nighthawks… and Grayhame, and Saucy… and I posted a video of turtle calling for Alexi.

Sorry I get back so late, but it was all in my West Coast afternoon…
And it’s still there if you want to see it.

Some of you do go back, so you already know.. Thanks.

Plus I forgot to post on yesterday’s forum that I’ve always loved that strip where the zombie walks right past Claude and Cleo.

Claude’s line reminds me of when I somehow left my keys on the roof of my old, beat up but beloved, Volare station wagon, when I went into Costco to shop.

It had turned dark by the time I came out, and the car was right under one of the parking lot lights, keys shining brightly… And nobody stole my car!

Relieved but insulted. That about sums it up.

After enlarging it I figured it was the cat, but before, I thought it was a bowler hat.

I thought it was a hat until I read Liverlips’ post, and finally saw what could be ears.

It’s pretty fuzzy on my tablet, but I do have to think it’s more cattish than hattish.
