For a change that quick, there had to be some external forces involved. I’ll leave it up to your speculation.

At a quick glance (like my first one) this could be a detail of a 16th or 17th century portrait…

A low, off-shoulder decolletage, with a gold pendant.

(Yes I know.

But I didn’t see it that way on purpose.)

I recognize the actor in uniform, but I can’t think of his name.
Burgess looks like he is about to start preaching.

Here’s the episode.
It won’t post as a video.
Open it in a new window, get rid of the clutter (it’s relatively easy / watch the closing exes and the timer) and enjoy.

The same episode I wrote about the other day…

Meredith Burgess is a librarian, condemned to death by a future totalitarian society because books are obsolete.

Allowed a choice, he chooses death by assassin.

I couldn’t remember what the chancellor was called… but in this scene he visits him right before the assassin blows him up.

I also can’t remember whether the chancellor dies too, only that Meredith’s death upset me

It is important to maintain order at times like this. Very British, very “move along, nothing to see here,” stiff upper lip sort of reaction.

I think “Game Dingbats” must mean the answers are titles of games….
Which is not my forte, and this looks impossible….
but before i look at anybody’s guesses I’ll give it a go.

Here goes nothing…

1. The only word I can unscramble from this is “Orgies” but I don’t know any games with that word or subject.
2. Connect 4? I think that’s a game.
3
4.
5. Is there a game called Tension?
6. Operation? (The game with the electric buzzer)
7. Count Up? I think there’s one called Countdown but this is going up.
8. Something about catching happiness? No clue.
9. E-Links? Never heard if it.
10. Backgammon! One I’m pretty sure I got!
11.um… Final E…ace dip… I give up.
12. That tower looks very familiar… but… ? There was a game called Dark Tower but this one is white.
13. Wits End…. Hope that’s a game.
14. Um… I’ll poke you in the ear if you…nah… That can’t be a game.
15. I’ve played Crazy 8s… Is there a Crazy 4s?
16. Battleship? We used to play that.
17. Final fantasy!
18. Is there anything called War God or God of War?
19. Go to your corner, Susan, and admit you’re doing horribly at this.
That may not be anybody else’s game…. But……

20. Is there a game of The Ring?

Well…. that was embarrassing.🥺

Thanks.

I got some right, even some I thought were probably wrong.

Some of the games, I’ve never heard of…. but i got a couple of those right, as well, like No 5, and one or two almost right, like No 19, just by guessing the titles … And that, in itself, feels wrong.

A few of the answers, like No 3 and No 11, made me want to say “surely, you’re kidding.”

There was only one I felt I probably should have gotten from the clue…. No. 20.

All in all, not my favorite.

Hmmm… Google seems to think it’s a real photo of a policeman showing off, in a NYC police uniform, in 1921.

Maybe that’s wrong… but maybe some still wore jodhpur type pants because there were lots of mounted police.

I looked for photos, but even though I searched for NYC police in 1921 some results were obviously other years and places, so it’s hard to tell we which ones are correct without spending hours…

If this is real, do i dare to hope that nobody does it any more?

I’m sure it’s illegal nowadays, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any fools.

Betting on people getting smarter all the time is a losing proposition.

¡Mis Cleomigas y Cleomigos!!!

Perro™ RIDES!!

Did you see that?
He really, really rides!

¡Ayi! I’m so excited!

Toronado may look like “just” a basset-horse…..

But he can outrun anything the Commandante’s Lancers have with which to give chase… especially since Ford didn’t even make the Crown Victoria yet.

Straight to church, rides our esteemed Perro™… but not to confess his sins.

Rather, he rides there to rat on some sins that he simply saw… to right some wrongs, and restore real righteousness… (stop that, Susan!)

..

I have to wonder whether Don Doggo knew the Padre from years past.

He seems to have lost sight of safety, and scattered all sense of secrecy… ( I told you to stop it! ….okay, OKAY…)

Annnnyway… I just wonder whether he did his due diligence, and knows for a fact that this friar is fair… (I can’t stop it…. sorry.)

We’ll just have to believe that he knows things we haven’t been told, and has reason to trust the um… the peasant’s precious pesos to the pueblo’s Padre (sigh….)

I don’t think Perro™ would ride like the wind, and risk his life, just to be careless.

He’s not a careless person….
(except maybe just every so often, if you ask Fernando, with the whip.)

I think Adrian Paul (Highlander) would make a pretty good Bond for a next film.
