Tardigrades have twice that may legs, and claws on their feet not hairs.
And their face has one feature. The sucking mouth.
The photo still could be real. Its just not a tardigrade.
Oh, and Tardigrades are not parasites. They graze on plants.
And neither was Walter Kent (Music), or Nat Burton (Lyrics), who wrote the thing. Should have been “They’ll be Swallows over, the White Cliffs of Dover” rather than ‘Bluebirds’, but if you’re not aware of that (No Interwebs in 1941), then you go with what you know.
The one on the left proved that he could play a believable, relatable character, and the one on the right played a brilliant young man without sounding like he didn’t understand his own dialogue.
The determination of whether a planetary body is a moon of another planet is where the center of gravity is between the two bodies. If the center of gravity is inside the body of the sphere of the larger massed planet, then the other planet is a moon. If the center of gravity is outside the body of the sphere of the larger mass planet, then the two are considered binary planets.
At present, the center of gravity is still inside the body of the Earth, so the Moon is a moon of Earth.
Since the Moon is slowly receding from the Earth, there will be a time in the future when the Earth and the Moon will be a binary planetary system, but it isn’t one now.
Mussolini was hang after his death, so this meme is pointless and simply shows bad taste, joking about death and corpse vilification. We should be worried about our current alive and kicking dictator, not a dead one
couldn’t resist

Must be cool.
must be a Mud Puppy…
Neither could he, apparently.
“Hey check it out! I found this cool mud puddle and claimed it. Wanna go halfsies?”
one of the many many little parasites residing in your body
Looks like a four leg tardigrade.
With a disturbing face.
And what’s with those feet?
What a cutie!
You can have mine!
I doubt that and call AI.
Looks like a picture from a Scanning Electron Microscope to me, but I could be wrong.
it is–it’s real
With only four legs. Nope.
I can’t find any similar images, just one “photo” from Dreamstime — not a reliable scientific source…
I made the same search last night, and gave up.
I found multiple results, including other creatures, but they were all from Dreamstime.
The captions said they were photographically “illustrating” microscopic parasites, but not whether that meant the photos were real.
I have a feeling they aren’t.

.
Reminds me of a SF story.
A Gift From Earth.
Where are the Bluebirds?
Certainly not in Dover, they’re not a native of the UK.
Don’t tell me, tell Vera Lynn!
She wasn’t a native of the UK either!

…with coconuts?
My thought exactly.
By this photo, at least, it’s well-named.
See! I told you it was flat and you’d fall off the edge!
If this isn’t the setup for a Monty Python gag, then I don’t know what is.
I can’t believe how long it took me to remember the guy on the left’s name! Old age sucks!
I’m still working on the guy on the right.
These would definitely be
Yes. Got them all, too.
Yes
Great movie, IMHO…

Mission Accomplished. Well done, Buzz!
That 50th anniversary was in 2019….
If the picture was taken then, he was 89; in January 2025, he turned 95.
The guy in the space suit and visor looks as if he is expecting a shotgun snap from center as soon as he gives the signal.
That’s Aldrin, taken by Armstrong (since he was the only other man on the planet)
You’ve got that right since Earth and Moon are twin planets – our Moon is far too far away for being a moon.
Um…no….
The definition of a planet is that it independently orbits a star.
And of a moon, that it orbits a planet.
There’s nothing about distance in the definitions, and in fact some planets in our solar system have moons that are farther away from them.
The. primary gravitational pull on the moon is from Earth, so its primary orbit is around our planet, making it a moon.
It does orbit the sun, but only while piggybacking on Earth.
…
A “twin planet” would have to share an orbit around the sun, with neither orbiting the other.
AFAIK there are no recognized ones so far.
Pluto and Charon used to be sometimes called a double dwarf planet, though not twins, because they orbit each other.. .
but Pluto was sadly stripped of its planet designation in this century, due to sharing its path with debris.
If Earth were to crumble, and the moon kept orbiting the sun on its own, it might be considered a planet,…
or it might meet the same fate as Pluto, depending on whether.it could attract or otherwise clear the earth debris from its path.
Binary planet.

The other kind of cat-sitter.
Made me actually LOL 😆
I like to hear that
this is the most realistic photo of a total eclipse I’ve ever seen.

Yup. That’s what they look like. 🙂
I hate to admit it… but I don’t understand the symbolism of seeing them upside down.
I don’t want to post the infamous images of a dead Benito hanging from his heels in a public display—but that should make it clearer to understand
Thank you.
Yes, thank you.

I recognized him, because like Happy³ I recently saw photos of him.
But honestly, he looks like what i would think your guess would have looked like.
Except he didn’t 😁
I got it right, but only because i saw a recent photo of him.
Since nobody has said it…
Clint Eastwood.
yes, aged 93 and counting
I don’t know if I’m right, but I’m getting a
Nope.
Found it!

…and it’s hilarious!
Thank you! That was fun!

Who does your maintenance?
I was going to say ‘Nobody’, but then I started thinking, possibly EWC?
At 17:05; is he climbing in, or out?
Lazy Nest Builders.
Lazy, true… but I have to give them high marks for ingenuity!
Maybe deduct a point or two, if the nest is in an unprotected, vulnerable spot, where the chicks aren’t safe.
Today’s “Lio.”
This explains a lot.
