This appears to be the last installment of Indiana Bones’ current adventure. All good things must come to an end. For those who want more archeological adventure set in the era of the human Indiana Jones I’m going to recommend:
“SHEBA” By: Jack Higgins ISBN:0-425-14670-7 (in paperback anyway)
The story starts with Hitler ordering the blowing up of the Suez canal, which was to be done simultaneously with the start of the Polish invasion. Part of the plot revolves around using the lost (now found) temple of Sheba.
You will have to look for the book, as the paperback is 1995.
I haven’t looked to see if there was ever a hard cover version.
Having said that, if you can’t find Sheba, look for anything by Jack Higgins. Even his “series” books can be read as stand alones without interfering with reading up or down in the particular series.
I particularly like the Sean Dillon series.
What’s not to like about a sort of anti hero (and I do mean “sort of”) who shoots off peoples’ earlobes?
I was setting up the magical powers thing in order to have a magical Revelation at the end. However, circumstances weren’t exactly right at that time for me to extend it. Be sure to be on the lookout for the next Cleo and company Adventure starring secret agent oo 49, James Hound!
And I say you were darned lucky to get any episodes in the first place. Nighthawks is working for kibble, for dog’s sake and you have the gall to complain! {^¿^}
By the way: I have a bone to pick (get it? “bone” to pick) with N H and his description of the thing Indiana Bones is after. That thing Cleo-I-mean-Indy is holding in his hands is not an ark. It’s more like a glorified urn.
THIS is an ark.
(when you’re a big shot motion picture empresario (like me) historical accuracy is essential)
Cleo & company’s thrifty producers pinched so many pennies they couldn’t afford an Ark, so I emptied out my jug of moonshine painted it up and presto! We had an arc!
This is as close as I can get to the “The Red Lobster” style (Now old style, at least in Canada.) of their spice scones.
It’s a modification of my mother’s Scotch Cream Scones recipe with the spicing taken from a recipe for a spice loaf in a local newspaper.
If everything’s on hand, you can put them together in well under an hour.
Scotch Cream Scones (Red Lobster Style)
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup grated “old” (sharp) cheddar cheese
1/2 cup cold butter cut up
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon buttermilk (The tablespoon is necessary.)
Sift the flour into a bowl.
Measure the baking powder, salt, dried basil, oregano and sugar into a coffee cup and mix them together; add to the flour and mix thoroughly; add the grated cheddar and mix well.
Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives. (The dough should look like peas)
Break eggs into cup and beat, add all the buttermilk and stir.
Pour into dry ingredients and mix lightly and quickly.
Pat or roll out (1/2 to 3/4 inch thick) and cut into biscuits. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375-400 deg. F. (On the second oven rack. Top rack is first.)
Keep a close eye on them from the 8 minute mark so they don’t burn.
two questions to Tigressy
what did Sandra Bullock win?
and
does she speak with an American accent?
Me too!
That’s the “Bambi Award”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bambi_Award
Her accent is hardly noticeable; she struggled with “der die das” two or three times (and chose “das” wisely). Her German is outstanding!
When I watched the clip, I remembered seeing her in another, on a talk show…
She said her mother is German.
She lived between Germany and Washington DC as a child… but German was actually her first language.
Dain Fagerholm
I like it, but if i looked at it too long id get seasick. 😀
The effect is cool, but I wish he did more attractive drawings.
Me too… and it doesn’t take long.
Me too.

This picture is its own link to its explanation.
I picked it up from monkeysky’s comment on “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” yesterday
I find it really interesting. As always “right click etc.”
The end??
The END??
..
Indy has indeed escaped with The Ark of The Lost Kibble….
But… but… what about those magic powers?
…
Is the FBI waiting for both …or just for the Golden Ark?
Does Indy get to keep the ancient Kibble?
Either way… will he eat some on the way home?
…
And… we all want to know… is it… de dum de dum… is it …stale?
More!
More!
Just when things were getting going, NH puts THE END up on the screen! Say it isn’t so!
I’ll go along with Susan and call out for……..

All good things must come to an end, m’lady
One thing I’m learning…….I must have patience! Whatever the reasons, we all know how dedicated you are to C&C and all of us. Thanks for being “you”.
I agree! I want to know what the magical powers are. But, I’m so thankful he got his hat!!
I was setting up the magical powers thing in order to have a magical Revelation at the end. However, circumstances weren’t exactly right at that time for me to extend it. Be sure to be on the lookout for the next Cleo and company Adventure starring secret agent oo 49, James Hound!
Okay. I will keep being on the lookout……ever vigil. I did like this one ~ it was exciting.
All good things must come to an end , Susan
Why?
our hearts couldn’t stand all the excitement
Nuh uh!
Maybe those darned circumstances will get right again…
if they know what’s good for them!
And I say you were darned lucky to get any episodes in the first place. Nighthawks is working for kibble, for dog’s sake and you have the gall to complain! {^¿^}
I think I love you
My Favorite Part™ was
I could’ve sworn it would be “Whummph”.
In fact, after I read N H’s great adventures, the first thing I look for is what will Rotty find to be his favorite thing.
Now, as for mine………..it was how Indy saved his precious hat!
By the way: I have a bone to pick (get it? “bone” to pick) with N H and his description of the thing Indiana Bones is after. That thing Cleo-I-mean-Indy is holding in his hands is not an ark. It’s more like a glorified urn.

National decency DAY !
Boy, doesn’t that explain a lot.
And since Cleo and Company is the antithesis of decency oh, we’re going to leave that one alone
Just try to wear pants when you cartoon.

STELBEL!! Where are you, Stel??!
C’mon!!
It’s Dance Like A Chicken Day!
Here I am…..it took a while to get into my ball gown!
…
Boy, you look fabulous, Stel! That must be from the annual Fowl Ball, sponsored by the Belchertown SPCA if I’m not mistaken. What year?
You don’t expect me to where just any run-of-the-mill chicken costume, do you?
wow! I had forgotten this one……too bad you didn’t post it
earlier. traffic has thinned out and some folks will miss it
Not me!
Wear was that event?
(Just to balance things out.)
I had hopes that Indy would be chased and given back the ball so he could throw it again.
