Well dipped! (There are “mosaic” mutations that can put different patterns on the same plant or animal, but I’m sure this is just a florist’s trick.)

From my search… It’s said to be a real variety, called Zampa Dust, which actually grows like this!

Another example:

Looks fake to me… like a background you can choose at a photography studio, or an Instagram filter….

But Google says it’s a real photo of a Russian climber named Angela Nikolaus, one of a group who take selfies or photos of each other at extreme heights, as hobby.

I’m still reserving judgement.

Why?

Maybe to show they won’t turn their pants brown like many of us would. If I had to save somebody, maybe I could do it, but I’d have nightmares for months afterwards.

I would not want to be the person who cleans this bathroom….

I’m sure it requires a ladder and good balance.

Does that look like the tail of a totally happy cat?

That’s what I was going to say.

Cats don’t wag their tails with joy.

This tail-wag looks to me like “If you know what’s good for you, you’ll unhand me…. NOW. If not sooner.”

Here’s the rub, while most cats will twitch the end of their tail when happy, and wag their whole tail when annoyed, this isn’t universal. I’ve had two cats over the years, my last cat Misty being one, who would wag their tail when happy. Whilst 99 times out of a hundred it is that they’re annoyed, it isn’t always so.

The white paint was used to hide the sores from the white paint.

I know…

But I still don’t think they started wearing it to cover the scars from wearing it 😁

It did cause sores and wrinkles, but it took a long time for that to be recognized.

Meanwhile court ladies wanted white faces, to show that they didn’t have to work in the sun, and to look young and innocent… eventually to look virginal, once Elizabeth became revered as the Virgin Queen.

But it’s thought that Elizabeth, herself, started wearing it to cover scars from smallpox. Of course, her wearing it made it even more popular.

They painted out or shaved their eyebrows to look like they had higher foreheads… thought to be attractive and to look smarter… the latter sometimes in emulation of Elizabeth’s unusual level of education for a woman.

Tulip fields near Lisse, in the Netherlands.

They’re huge!

If you look closely, there are tiny farms and houses… I think one square near but not touching the bottom is a whole neighborhood of small houses… And a small horizontal line just above the center is a road, with little specks that are trucks.

I’m thinking the black lines must be water… They’re much wider than roads.

I’d say

that ..
number 5 sticks out

because…

It has 4 colors instead of 3.

If we start numbering with the center dot, and call it Ring 1, and the outer ring is Ring 5, on al the other lollipops, Rings 2 and 4 match.

Oh! I just deleted my prior comment because I was seeing a totally different video… something about companies that are doing good.

I’d been planning to look for the Andy Kaufman one… Thanks!

Does it do that for anybody else?

Yes, it started doing it on my Android tablet.

And it starts with the other video I mentioned above, not Andy Kaufman.

I recognize some…

of the non-nominees.
Sidney Poitier didn’t win an Oscar for “In the Heat of the Night”… it went to Rod Steiger. Ryan O’Neal wasn’t nominated for Paper Moon.. his daughter Tatum won.

Ruth Gordon won for Rosemary’s Baby… Mia Farrow wasn’t nominated.

I didn’t know about the movies Cary Grant, Edward G Robinson, Denzel Washington and Donald Sutherland lost out on nominations for.

Those are (I guess)

Cary Grant “The Philadelphia Story”
Edward G Robinson “Key Largo” or “The Stranger”?
Denzel Washington “Philadelphia” of all movies!
Donald Sutherland “M*A*S*H*”!!!

I guess it’s time to post what you’ve all been waiting for…

No, not the secret code for the locks at Fort Knox.
No… not next week’s winning lottery numbers.

Sheesh… The puzzle solution.

You’ve all been waiting for the puzzle solution.. remember?

This week’s puzzle is a Hopper painting of a beautiful restaurant… Well, I think it’s beautiful, anyway.

Looks like a lovely place to meet for lunch, though probably a bit pricey, these days. Not if we could go back to when this was painted, which would be a good idea anyway, cos it night not be there any more by now

On which side should we sit? No, they’re not the same.

There are nine differences between them!

Go ahead and find them….

Then compare with the ones

I found…..
