I’m the IT guy at work. I went into Ann’s office to check on a connection to her computer that wasn’t working. Her system is on the floor under her desk. So I dropped to my knees, fell forward and belly down, went for the wires. She looked down and said “I love it when men prostrate themselves before me.”
By Alex Schaefer… Part of .his 2008 series of plein-air paintings of banks on fire.
If you’d like to know more, you can read the info I copied from a site that sells his work… there was too much I didn’t want to leave out, for me to be able to do my usual condensed version.

“Alex Schaefer was born in Los Angeles, California and still resides there to this day. He lives and works in his downtown L.A. studio and is an active fixture in L.A.’s contemporary art scene. He can be found quite often with his easel on the sidewalks of the bustling downtown city streets painting en plein-air street scenes often depicting many of the historical buildings located in and around the downtown area. With his outgoing personality he is one with the city where he lives and paints.
Keeping abreast of current events in the news, he is not shy about including controversial and artistic satire into his paintings and often expresses his views onto the canvas. During the great American recession starting in 2008, Alex gained international notoriety for his politically charged symbolic plein-air paintings depicting banks on fire.
Alex studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and is now a teacher there. His main influences are the early French Impressionists and San Francisco Bay area figurative and abstract artists of the 1950’s. His oeuvre is wide ranging from traditional plein-air landscapes, cityscapes and street scenes to figurative nudes, portraits and abstract paintings.”
An albuffalo?
Looks more like a ginger to me.
So why are they wearing uniforms from 1821 (or earlier) (and the British never wore their tricorns that way round,,,)
I don’t think the AI software knows the differences…..
…
,
That’s what i got.
Exactly.
The actors were easy, but having never watched the movie the title escaped me.
Not enough men bow to women these days.
Perhaps I need to practice inclining my head.
What, you’re out walking the streets? Maybe I’d better start wearing my hat!
.
Okay – this one demands a funny (true!) story.

It’s okay with me if the women are on top.
If you are so inclined…

That poor mouse is going to have a terrible pregnancy!
Yes, we do! Domo Arigato Gozaimasu!
,,,.
I think the elephant is a NY Yankees fan and wanted the man to lose his Boston Red Sox cap.
The poor elephant thinks it’s a mouse…
The cap or the man?
The mammoth…
The rest of his life he will be able to say that he survived being trampled by an elephant. 😀
As always wait for the timer to finish and click on the title when it appears.

Nailed this one!

1950’s?
30s to 60s.
For instance
Sidney Poitier -#3, Sammy Davis Jr -#14, and quite possibly Marilyn Monroe -#13… Seem to be from the 1960s.
#12 looks familiar, but I can’t place her. Any guesses?
Looks to me like Eartha Kitt.
Yes, I’m pretty sure.
She’s young here, but was still beautiful in the 1960s as Batwoman, when she was 40ish.
LOL
….
shouldn’t the artist have called the ire department?
Actually, yes…. He was pretty irate at the time.
LOL!

Looks to me like she’s had too much to drink.
“Pull over, Ma’m”…

A vision test, not a puzzle.
I guess I’ve been devisioned. (Divided?)
I think i got it, but i had to blow it way up.

My brother’s eldest son is heading off to college this year.
In 1975.
Today’s strip is funny… strangely, I don’t remember seeing it before.
I’d think I would!
I also think it’s new.

Hurrah!
Interesting bits from today’s London “Daily Mail.”
