After all these years, I finally get to see a video of Mount St. Helens in motion during the eruption, thanks.
P.S.:
The 300 miles per hour mentioned works out to 440 feet per second; which means the blast wave would cover the full 360 foot length of an American football field in 0.8181818181818181818181818181818…. seconds.
Saw a series about a guy doing all kinds of prostheses for lots of critters including elephants. Fascinating the thought and planning that goes into getting those things right so the animals can get around almost like they never lost a limb in the first place (and how well they adjust). Wonderful stuff. Now I’m seeing lots of stuff about ways to help people move limbs with just their brain waves. At the same time, I think I’ve posted about the alternative limb project https://thealternativelimbproject.com/ where an artificial limb can take on all sorts of shapes and styles. Not sure the dog would care, but it might freak out other dogs for a few seconds.
The U.R.L. you posted is well worth the visit ! !
The things some people are doing these days; you would have to look twice to see the limb they built is artificial.
An incredibly tough game. Then I look at Aussie Rules Football (Footie) with no pads or helmets, and find it just about as fascinating when it’s a close game.
int the 50’s-60’s just like in auto racing, there was very little concern for the combatant’s safety. race cars had little or no protection for drivers and the NFL
allowed defensive opponents to literally assault the ball carrier or QB .
slowly, over time, concern for their safety and appropriate measures increased
The attatchment is an advertisement for raspberries in yesterday’s London “Daily Mail.”
It works out to $9.23 Canadian and $6.64 U.S. per pound (OUCH ! ! !).
I never see raspberries by the pound here… the usual is a 6 oz container. I never buy them because they’re 3 or 4 dollars for that size, which is $8 -10 a pound. Same with blackberries and boysenberries, which I like better.
Seasons make little difference in our supermarkets because they’re rarely local… Our berries may come from Washington State, Canada, Mexico or Peru.
…
Fresh local raspberries, in season, which is very soon, can be found at the farmers market… but are at the high end of that price scale.
I was occasionally getting strawberries at a dollar store in one pound containers, first for a dollar but prices are exploding.
They went to $2, and then that store closed. $5 at the supermarket.
Blueberries used to go on sale for $3 for an 18 oz container. Now $6 is a sale price, and I’ve stopped buying them.
….
Occasionally I can pick blackberries in a vacant lot, though… They’re like a weed locally, but expensive in the stores.
Raspberries here cost a pound of flesh. I hate the nasty thorny things, but my wife loves them and we’ve got them in several areas of the yard. I doubt I could kill the things even if she’d let me; they are very robust.
I did the u-pick thing yesterday for strawberries. $4.19 lb. I picked $52.99 worth. So far have baked 6 loaves of strawberry bread and planning on 4 more. I give most of them away to friends and family and put some in the freezer for me. The rest of the berries will go on ice cream or waffles.
I don’t want to be on the receiving end of the kiss that ball is going to get.

I would be surprised if anyone here does not know who this actor is and which movie this is taken from.
I know. 🙂
Is it Patrick Hamill in Trek Wars?

Needs a nail trim. Wonder if PetSmart can handle that.

Seriously?
Do you really think anybody here needs the answer?
I have no idea what some of you might get into before trying to do the puzzles….

Concentrate on the round thingy and go from there.

Not in season thus expensive.

It’s crazy what’s happening to prices.
