I think I may be officially losing my mind…
(Okay, okay… hold down the comments till I’m finished please. Agreement and examples are not necessary.)
Anyway, when I got here this evening, the site wasn’t working properly. I could see the strip, and the first two videos below it. The top comment field (where I’m typing now) was blank but no keyboard came up to access it.
Below that, it said the number of comments… I think 22 at that time… and next came the page bottom, with the arrow to yesterday.
It didn’t show any posts or allow me to add one. Refreshing didn’t help. Honestly, I didn’t know whether the glitch was on WordPress, my tablet or my Internet.
I came back maybe an hour later, refreshed, and it was all here.
…..
But here’s the crazy part…. as if that weren’t enough…. I could swear that when I looked at the strip and couldn’t comment, Cleo was saying something…. Or at least she had a thought balloon.
Did I make it up for her?
Was it something I wanted to say, when I couldn’t type anything, and I’m somehow attributing it to Cleo?
I know I’m tired….but….. Really?
.
Anyway… In my mind she’s saying “I can’t hear a bird.”
you’re not crazy—you have excellent timing….last night I posted the same comic but with a comment from Cleo and an additional comment from Claude. After posting I thought it might be funnier to leave that out –so I reposted without those comments….the thing is I posted way earlier than I normally do, and when you clicked on Cleo , it was just exactly at the time that I was changing the comic. pretty sure that’s what happened to you
Yes…. I forgot… I.also came here very early, when I was checking the last of yesterday’s comments and saw that today was up, so I looked. Not much was here besides the strip….
Then I came back when there were supposedly more comments, but the page wasn’t working, and I couldn’t see them. Now I wonder which version of the strip. I actually saw that time.
Finally the page worked… but Cleo had lost her snarky comment that I thought I imagined.
Her real one is better than the one I was halfway remembering. I vote leave it in!
I’m glad to know I still have some of my brain… Whew.
But I do have to say Claude seems to have the same lines in both.
I also took out an additional line from Claude in the last panel–“pretty good, huh?” and then Cleo’s snarky reply was in answer to Claude’s question–
-not the awful pun

That is one friendly face. Go scratch him behind the ears.
Big feets. Buddy has feets like that. Webbed toes and all.
Is his name Kilroy?

Asseteauge Island wild pony.
Wild? They look more like lap ponies…
Yes…. I read that you can visit the beach and observe them, but not try to get close, or to touch them.
Somebody commented that they can come up to you, and stand on your towel, or nuzzle your picnic stuff, but if you shoo them away you get fined!
Oh look, ‘Sea Horses’.

There’s a really friendly group of commenters on that strip.
The little green booggers.

Anybody else got stuck working out what a WOOETTVE was?
Not until you mentioned it.
Way fancier than the house in our set…. though I’m pretty sure the rooms are labeled the same.
I loved the little pewter weapons.
I have the English version (Cluedo) where you can get bludgeoned to death with a “spanner.”
Same game and weapon, different names.
reverse waterfall
That’s one vicious headwind!
Can someone try to find out if this is real and where it is? Please and thank you!
If that’s for real it is totally amazing.

Stupid rich people.
Every time I see things like this, I remember the song I learned in Sunday School (about age 5 or 6) about the wise man and the foolish man.
“My Boy Lollipop” has been one of my favourite songs since 1964 when it was released ! ! !
Thanks for the happy memories.
Boo! 😄
I’ll second that.

One of those dreams when you think you are awake but aren’t?

That’s what I thought it might be.

And I see that you have tomorrow already up at 5:20 PDT…. That’s getting WAY early.
I haven’t even thought about what’s for dinner later.
